Cancelled!!

This is the reason why there aren't any good tv shows anymore. Good shows like this always get cancelled before they get a chance to show their stuff. This show was innovative with the sports gags, funny with the humour and just plain enjoyable. Why they would cancel this show is beyond me. This show will go into television graveyard but I hope the folks at NBC realize that whatever they put on after friends won't be any better than Schwartz.

A first rate gut buster

I think this show is absolutely hilarious. Breckin Meyer is on his way to becoming a star, and why not? He was hilarious in Rat Race as well. This show proves that television still has some wit left in it's sitcoms. This is easily the best new show of the season, sitcom or drama.

Lots of Laughs

I thought this show's first episode was a crack-up. The irreverent humor and dry wit, combined with all of the guest stars was very entertaining. Most of my friends liked it, too. It will be interesting to see if it can keep up the pace of the opener, as they probably will run out of cameos pretty soon.

as much fun as 'Dream On' without the nudity

As a Schwartz, I'm embarrassed by this show. Just when my family lived down that whole "May The Schwartz Be With You" thing from Spaceballs, we get this show shoved down our throats. Luckily, like most hammock shows, this one won't live long. Unfortunately, we still have to watch it while waiting for Will and Grace. The show is like Dream On without the nudity, or the comedy for that matter. Avoid as much as you can. Maybe that way Miriam Shor will be able to find a better place for the talent she showed in 'Hedwig and the Angry Inch' as the guy with the goatee. In fact, go rent that flick. You could break it up into half hour chunks and watch it while Inside Schwartz is on the air.

Awesome Show!

This is a great twenty-something show that shows the inside of Schwartz (Meyer) as his thoughts are visual through sports references. The first episode was awesome and I'm in the middle of the second. So far it's great!

Promising new show

This show, upon viewing only the first episode, seems promising. It has a pretty good cast with Richard Kline (from Three's Company) and Breckin Meyer (Road Trip, Rat Race). All I have to say about it is that it's promising, cause I've only seen one episode. Of course, the first episodes will always be plagued by having to introduce characters and their environment, so let's see what the future may hold for this show. Definitely worthwhile for a new sitcom. The character's are somewhat enjoyable, and the guest appearances are sensational, and very funny (ie: Mills Lane or Bill Buckner have two very funny appearances in the first episode). I can't wait to see what personalities will pop up next on the show. I highly suggest you view it before you listen to harsh critics. Needs to be seen to be understood.

absolutely unwatchable

this is the most painful thirty minutes of programming on television. the writing is hackneyed and the jokes are terrible. whoever thought an imaginary ref would be a good gimmick should be out of a job. i have the feeling that this one will be replaced by mid-season.

Creative

This is the most creative sitcom we`ve had in a while. It`s funny but not that funny but with the addition of good writers the show might have a future. Who knows this might be the first show to have life after "Friends". Since "Friends" took over the 8:00 time slot the 8:30 time slot has been a difficult one. But I think this show might manage to.

Among the best new comedy shows of the season.

I wasn't sure what to expect from this show, but I know that it fulfilled more than my expectations of it from the first episode alone. The script was witty and each of the characters had their own unique and equally funny sense of humors. The shows' stars, definitely push this new comedy above the average. Breckin Meyer (Road Trip, Clueless) is the charming and lovable star who is in a never ending, and entertaining struggle to gain back his ex, and fulfill his dreams of being a sports caster. Supporting actors Richard Kline (Three's Company), Maggie Lawson (Model Behavior, Pleasantville) and especially comedian Bryan Callen (Mad TV, Oz) bring life to this possible dead end comedy. Though he plays the more irreverent role, Bryan Callen (the buddy) is probably the most comedic person on the show, and holds a lot of the shows entertainment. As long as there is more sports guest stars then one baseball field can hold, I think this show will remain in the top spots. Definitely worth a look

A Worthy "Must-See" Filler

Face it: we're not gonna see another Seinfeld or Friends for at least a decade. So before we dissect and criticize every new sitcom, we must remember that the best shows took time to reach their peak. The Friends and Seinfeld pilots were unfunny and unappealing. The pilot for Inside Schwartz, in contrast, had plenty of laughs, some outstanding cameos (Dick Butkus, Bill Buckner, and Rebecca Gayheart, to name a few), and a rising young actor in Breckin Meyer. After the first few episodes, it's clear that there's plenty of room for development. The married friend, a typical macho guy, plays off Meyer well, as does the witty female sidekick. The season will have to run its course before any definitive judgments can be made, but Inside Schwartz has promise, and for now, at least, deserves the spot between Friends and Will and Grace in NBC's Must-See TV Thursday night lineup.

Awful. Just Awful.

For some reason I sat through the entire first episode of this show, and I submit its airing as an argument against the existence of a merciful God. This show stands shoulder to shoulder with "The Single Guy" in the pantheon of all time worst sitcoms in history. It's badly written, unfunny, and performed by a cast so physically unattractive they make Archie Bunkers living room look like a copy of "Vogue". The imaginary sports commentator gag stopped being funny when...well, it was never funny. This show is to be avoided like the plague. You're better off tuning in to a test pattern.

As expected, canceled or suspended.

This is one of those shows that you know will be canceled - you know it from how corny the show is, and how bad the gags are. Let's face it - it has some flop actors in it too - any show with 'Miriam Shor' in it will not last. Recall last years god awful turkey 'Then Came You'? *Gaaack!*
