Each week, the team will attempt to complete tasks in return for prize money. During their tasks, they will be trying to work as a team, but one of them will be trying to work against them. At the end of each episode, all contestants will answer a computer questionnaire about who they think the mole is. Whoever is furthest from the truth will be eliminated, until there are only three left - 1 winner, 1 loser and The Mole. I have to say that after watching the first episode, I was convinced I knew who the Mole was. Only to find that they were eliminated for being furthest from the truth! The tasks themselves are quite exciting to watch. A sort of cross between Treasure Hunt and the Crystal Maze. The fact that you also have to try to spot The Mole as well makes this program unmissable! Watch it!
With series 2 starting on the 14th of October the concept of the Mole is fantastic but i do feel it would be better as an event series over the course of two weeks or even live action summaries from the days events. The first series was watched by very few people, the majority i would guess were part of a web community which became very much part of the game with a chance to grill the contestants, the makers of the series and the mole before he was revealed. The second series mole better be crafty because we know what we are looking for now. Summary, if you can get c5 reception watch this programme and get your mates to watch because you'll fight for hours over who is the mole and what damage they did to the team.
This was a great show and they cancelled it! stupid Channel 5 (or "five" as they call themselves now) My mum almost met the executive producer and everything, and then they axed it! I thought they had brilliant challenges, a good presenter and one cool test system. The results to the test in my opinion was the best bit, because it created the most tension , compared to the amount that appeared during the challenges. I've read about the other versions of The Mole appearing around the world, but I have got to admit that this was the best one in my opinion, and was the most decent piece of reality television that I had even seen (including Big Brother).
This show is great and it's an outrage that it's being axed. It's dramatic, it creates tension and it gets you involved fully. But let's face it - we only really watch it for one reason and that's the presenter Glenn Hugill. He's gorgeous and perfect for the job, switching from "mean Anne-Robinson type" to "yer mate down the pub" in seconds. And who can resist his smooth "I have a challenge for you" or his suave "Excuse me - I have a reservation" or even his knee-quivering "In my office - NOW!" Sensational.
