The Princess & the Marine

This is one of those love stories that is so fantastic, that you really can't believe it's true -- but you're happy that it is. US Marine Jason Johnson falls for a beautiful Muslim princess, and they risk their honor, careers, and even their lives to be together.

And the best part? Meriam's final hearing passed, and she's here to stay. The real Jason and Meriam are still together, still married, and (I hope!) still in love.

This is the best love story of all time! It is about a princess who falls in love with a marine, but is unable to marry him because of her parents and countries strict rules on dating and marriage..so you must see this movie if you are a true romantic and I am! This is a good love story with a happy ending and it's a true story, Marisol Nichols shines as Princess Meriam. If you like romance this one is an unmissable treat. Bahrainies it appears are not happy with this story, as it shows how closed and restricted even the most liberal gulf state is.

I haven't had a story touch me like this in a very long time. Usually, I don't even care for love stories, but this was exceptional. It has the right mix of suspense and romance to definitely make it worthwhile. My only regret is that it was a TV movie, and that I won't get to see it again. If anyone recorded it, PLEASE EMAIL ME! I would be happy to pay you for a copy.

First of all the fairy-tale story is so compelling, especially because it's true. I thought that the acting by Mark-Paul Gosselaar was exceptional. He has really grown into a fine actor. I have never seen anything Marisol Nichols has been in, but I thought she brought a unique innocence combined with strong will to the role. They had great chemistry on-screen and their characters, from interviews I've seen, remarkably reflect the personalities of the real Jason and Meriam. This has become one of my favorite movies and I've only seen it once!
