The mysterious man Jun walks in on praying early in the film is known by fans as "Mr. Itim," due to his mysterious recurrence throughout the film and his propensity to say the film's title repeatedly throughout his prayer.
This film was shot in the director's grandparents' house in San Vicente, San Miguel, Bulacan. His grandmother, Doña Narcisa Buencamino Vda. De de Leon, being one of the founders of LVN Pictures, one of the biggest film studios in the Philippines during the 1940s to the 1950s.
Mario Montenegro, who plays Dr. Torres in this film, was a former LVN star who starred in multiple costume dramas. Costume dramas were a favorite of De Leon among his grandmother's motion pictures.
