Judy Landers and her twin sister Audrey always refused to perform nude onscreen. In 1992, Playboy approached them about posing for their magazine. They agreed but again didn't want to be seen nude. So they negotiated not being paid for the pictorial in return for not having to pose naked. Playboy agreed knowing it would still generate sales by people thinking they were nude. The Landers twins hoped the publicity would help promote their careers but it backfired. Fans were angry when they discovered the ladies were fully clothed. And the only movie offers they got were for roles that required nudity.
