Fiercely independent Petros and rehabilitated Pavlos, two wretched petty crooks and former convicts, try to figure out the easiest way to escape poverty and a bleak future. And on a bright winter morning, the opportunity knocks in the shape of Stavros, an enigmatic, morose plutocrat. As one thing leads to another, the perfect stranger with the fat wallet makes the unsuspecting companions an offer they can't resist: keep an eye on Stavros' bedridden wife in exchange for free food, shelter, and a hefty daily compensation for their trouble. However, something doesn't add up. Why would Stavros entrust his beloved one to a pair of nobodies with nothing to lose?
