Low quality but still a good game

I am not happy about the quality of the game but the rest I like basically the fatalities etc, The game itself is good but the quality needed more work. The reason I am voting a ten is because this game is loads of fun. The game has lots of stages including the wastelands, the tower, the lost bridge, the bridge, the pits 1,2,and3, and many more. The stage fatalities in the game isn't the best stage fatalities in the world but it is cool to do them. The tomb has spike from the ceiling, Scorpion's lair has hot lava, the subway has a subway train, the bell tower has spikes on the bottom of some floors, The pit has spikes on the bottom with dead people on them, the pit 3 has some fan like object that can take your opponent into little pieces, and last but definitely not least the dead pool has acid like stuff in it. I have to say this game has been overlooked a lot of times i want to ask why? One reason why I ask this is because i want to know why this good game is not getting great reviews. I give it a 10/10.

    Not very good

Sorry... I don't liked the Mortal Kombat games much. They're not as fun as the Street Fighter games. Its doesn't have the gameplay. The only Mortal Kombat game, I'd liked the most is Mortal Kombat 4. The animation is poor.

Most people liked this game better than the great fighting games like Street Fighter because of the pointless blood. Thats doesn't make an great game. The only good thing about this game is the fatalities. Sometimes they're funny besides that not the best fighter out there.

I gave all Mortal Kombat games except MK4 this rating-- **

    Fatality Party!

MK Trilogy is the first Mortal Kombat(And also the first fighting game) for N64. The graphics aren't so good.Looks like more Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, launched in the same year(1996). The game has many voices(errr...More shouts and screams) and cool musics. The gameplay is medium. You could choose many controls, such as using or the control stick or the D-Pad.But the response wasn't so good after all. The game had a great Fun Factor. The best part was the high number of characters you could use(More than 23). This game is now rare to find. My scores:

    GRAPHICS-6/10 SOUND-8/10 GAMEPLAY-6/10 FUN FACTOR-10/10

    My overalls: 7.5/10.

Reptile - Not much is known about this fighter except he wears the same exact ninja uniforms as Scorpion and Sub Zero but only green and can mimic other fighters maneuvers! Though it is thought that he is the last of an ancient reptilian humanoid specie, he protects Shang Tsung from enemies.

Smoke - Built by the Lin Kuei to kill Sub-Zero, The third Cybernetic ninja has a few surprises in his arsenal.

Sektor - Built by the Lin Kuei to kill Sub-Zero, The first Cybernetic ninja's unit is name is Sektor LK-9T9.

Jade - This female warrior is not to be trusted!

    Rain - A deadly ninja!

    Ermac - A deadly ninja!

Noob Saibot - A deadly shadow ninja!

Khameleon - A deadly female ninja!

Goro - A huge half-human dragon from Kuatan, the 4th Astrial Pllane of Shokan in the Realm of Outworld. This giant has been undefeated for half of a millennium. He defeated Liu Kang's ancestor the Shaolin Monk Kung Lao. Now the tournament begins!

Kintaro - After Goro was defeated Kintaro, Shao Khan replaced the prince with this monster to lead his legions!

Motaro - A huge Centaurian. His people has been in war with the Shokan for generations. He is now the leader of Khan's extermination squad sine the Shokan Kintaro was defeated. He is a force not to mess with!

Shao Khan - A large and muscular being the supreme ruler of the Outworld, the Astrial Plane of Shokan, and all of the surrounding regions. The fighters have gathered and the tournament has begun! Will Khan rule supreme over Earth or can the earthlings defeat their opponents and Shao Khan?

Game Play: The game play is very good. The basic movies are easy to perform but the fatalities are very hard to do but with the help of cheats it can be much easier.

Graphics: The graphics are wonderful. Most of the game is digitalized!

Difficulty: The game can be very easy or it can be very hard depending on what you set the difficulty level.

Music: The music is great! Just awesome catchy tunes through out the game! In My opinion its some of the best music ever in a video game!

Sound: The sound is great. The real voices sound clear and the punching and kicking does as well.

Overall: I have always loved Mortal Kombat. If you like excellent fighting games then I strongly recommend you play Mortal Kombat Trilogy today!

    It finally happened

In 1992, the original Mortal Kombat game exploded in arcades everywhere. It was bloody, violent, fun, had a pointless plot Ed Boon didn't even care about, and by 1992 standards, had very realistic graphics. The much-wanted sequel introduced more characters and a new boss. Mortal Kombat 3 introduced even more characters and the popularity still proved the MK idea fresh.

With the release of Mortal Kombat Trilogy, I think people finally got sick of more of the same. It finally happened. Ed Boon anticipated this, so he made one last attempt at this now-stale crap: MK4. What's different? It's 3-D, but by then the 10-year-old-boy public was moving on to bigger, better, and fresher things like Tekken 3.

Rewind back to THIS game: Mortal Kombat Trilogy. If you don't own a MK game by now, just move on to something else, UNLESS you've been living under a rock for 8 years. Still, this game is the best icon of the MK era, if released a little late.

It's MK1, 2, and 3 all crammed into one CD. The magic and challenge of the MKs have somehow been lost, and it doesn't have anything new in it.

BOTTOM LINE: Four years ago, I would have recommended this game IF you didn't already have a MK game at the time (like me). Now...just forget it. If you haven't heard of Mortal Kombat by now, you will never understand the magic this series of games once had.

    • Trivia
Johnny Cage is the only character to have all new sprites for this game. This is a result of Johnny Cage's original actor, Daniel Pesina, being fired by Midway sometime after the release of Mortal Kombat II (1993). His new sprites are that of Chris Alexander. However he has lost the splits punch move all together in this version.
    • Errores
When a character is killed by an explosion fatality or something similar, they have a regular human skeleton. Even if it was a four-armed character, reptilian, or cybernetic ones. Likewise, sometimes the number of skulls on the ground following such a fatality is often inconsistent.
    • Versiones alternativas
The PC, PlayStation, and Saturn versions have many differences from the Nintendo 64 version. While space forbids a comprehensive analysis, some of the major differences include more characters on the PlayStation (like two versions of Kano, Rayden, Jax and Kung Lao, as well as all of the boss characters), boss fatalities on the N64, and only one Sub-Zero character on the Nintendo console (though he has the combined powers of the masked and unmasked Sub-Zeroes). Finally, the PC and PlayStation have a male Chameleon, who randomly assumes the powers of the male ninjas, whereas the N64 has a female Khameleon, who can become Kitana, Mileena or Jade.
