This film (shot on film at the tail-end of the Porno Chic era of Adult Cinema) is an unsung anti-masterpiece, far more entertaining than the tens of thousands of ephemeral bondage/fetish videos made in more recent decades. Filmmaker Kim Christy, a specialist in kink and oddity, clearly put its heart into the project, even appearing in the TS role of Karen formerly Kevin, the tall and obviously "off" maid of the heroine. Ordinarily such a gimmick role would have been filled by Kim's meal ticket TS actress Sulka, the only transsexual superstar of the '80s.

Trim (only 74 minutes long) picture consists of 3 cases for hard-boiled femme private eye (it would have been private dick if well-hung Christy had taken the role) Janey Robbins, beautifully styled with alluring makeup and handy spandex outfit, and driving a snazzy Mercedes convertible in Frisco (city is confusingly called "Motor City" in her endless voice-over narration, but it ain't Detroit).

First one has her hired by a hubby named Swede Armstrong to do surveillance on his cheating wife, ending up merely as a threesome in which Janey as B.J. Fondel becomes part of the couple's weekly role playing including plenty of bondage

Second case has her also in bondage, even hog-tied, as director Christy throws in some intriguing BDSM elements, far more exciting than the static tableaux of those Harmony Concepts, FM Concepts or Anton Productions video "adventures". Key difference is that this is fetish combined with hardcore sex, rather than the limp soft-soft soft-core exercises of "look at the damsel struggling against her bonds" genre.

In this one, IMDb identifies Christy as playing the maid to heroine Janet eventually unveils her big stiff cock, and the show gets really interesting with all sorts of unusual material. The maid gets its big cock sucked, while faking a doggy-style sex scene (shot soft-core, as our TS auteur clearly has trouble getting its lengthy cock hard).

For the third case, a couple of clearly light on their feet actors show up and the movie turns into bi- bi sexual territory as one of the guys sucking off the other one during a threesome with a cis female.

Through it all, Janey displays her nonpareil deep throat abilities and manages to maintain a star performance among a cast of otherwise amateur-seeming talent. Print I watched on a Caballero DVD has no credits other than director Kim's displayed. I'm not a fan of Christy's work (my review of its magnum opus "Squalor Motel" makes clear my objections to the poseur) but clearly the auteur fulfills Adult Cinema's original Prime Directive (see almost any trailer for a '60s sexploitation movie) of delivering "something different" (in order to compete with strait-laced mainstream movies).
