This was the last documentary in this series. I figured since I saw the earlier ones that I would give this a watch while working. This one, like the previous, was more difficult since it is less about interviews and showing more of the behind the scenes makeup from Murder Weapon, Robot Ninja, Ghoul School and Skinned Alive.
What I'll credit here is that what they're doing is impressive. It gives me more appreciation for these lower budget films, even from this era where they didn't always look great or realistic. It still has more charm for me than seeing things that are done now with CGI. This cost more money, but it also took time and effort.
Now the movies that are featured are ones that I haven't seen yet so it doesn't carry as much impact for me. Brinke Stevens does voice-over narration to inform us what behind the scenes footage we are seeing next. Again, this feels like volume three where she did her work in a day. I wouldn't be shocked to learn that she did that one and this in the same day. I'll still give credit here to the editing. It is interesting to see what they did to bring these effects to life. What is for everyone, but if you're a fan of low budget cinema, these movies in particular or what to see how effects are done, then I'd recommend giving this a watch. If not, then I do think this will be lost on the viewer.
My Rating: 5 out of 10.
