I loved this as a child and I still do...........

Ok, so I gave this an 8 maybe I should have given it a 10 cuz' I adore this series I have such a nostalgic time while watching but I have to be a realist...it was made in the late 1970's so the animation may not be over the top extraordinary...though that have never bothered me much what does bother me is that here in Sweden only 24 episodes of about 64 or so was dubbed into Swedish, the other episodes were never to be shown....thankfully the existing episodes was chosen so that it would feel like as a whole and we got to see the final episode still there are plot missing....

    So what is it about...

Princess Aurora is chosen by the Empress to go on a mission to The Dekos System in order to restore the energy and create peace in the galaxy. she is accompanied by three very different cyborgs (partly humans with extraordinary powers), they are Cogo (Jesse Dart) he is the most powerful amongst the three with superhuman strenght, speed and agility and ofcourse he has got the Astrobat a very very powerful weapon that is almost a part of himself, he also can increase and decrease his size or make a holographic double of himself. Then there is Haka (Porkos) he is the clumsy somewhat stout person of the group, his weapon is called the Star Chain, only I rarely see him do anything useful with it. Third in line is Darco or Arimos (only I would spell it Jorgo), you could say he is the brain of the group he also has got a weapon of his own the Tridenceral, though not even nearly as powerful as the Astrobat.

Well that was a short summary so let the adventure begin.....

    Nice, but alittle stupid

OK, since it isn't much of a comment or information about this series, I will share some information about it. It is basicly about a princess who are to save the galaxy from evil monster by restoring the energy within the galaxy. To do this, she must reach a planet that is the centre of this energy. In every episode, they meet the same kind of monsters, who does the same kind of things, in the same kind of stupid way. She has 3 life guards with her that protects her from all harm. Their names are Cogo, Jorgo and Hakka. They suck up to her MAJOR and that is one of the things that makes it alittle stupid. Another thing is that the makers considered it appropriate to have gravity in space, along with air. So, nice, but alittle stupid

I also enjoyed watching this as a child

I used to watch Starzinger (known as "El Galáctico" in Spanish) as a child in my native Dominican Republic. Yes, it was dubbed in Spanish. I still remember the opening and ending songs. The Spanish names of the three cyborgs that accompanied Princess Aurora in her quest to restore the energy to save the galaxy were: Galactico (Cogo), Glotin (Porcus) and Giorgio (Jorgos). My favorite character was Galactico (Cogos).

I looked forward to watching each weekly episode but unfortunately I never got to see all 64 of them. Does anybody know where I could purchase a DVD set with all the episodes either in Spanish or English?

Princes Aurora and the boys encountered all sorts of terrible things in their travel to restore energy to the galaxy. In the process, even the Princess herself had to fight.

This story is actually a remake of an old Chinese folk tale, translated into English as "MONKEY." MONKEY was also adapted to the small screen. I got to see it in English and Spanish.

    Its a serie for children.

For a grownup it can be seen as stupid, but for a children who sees it for the first time at the age of ten it can be wonderful! Believe me, I did and I still worship Aurora and her three guards! The serie learn children the meanings of friendship, and to support the good things in life.
