A truly wonderful game for any Titanic fanatic

I received this game last Christmas and thought it would be really cool. I loaded it onto my computer and I thought it was really fun. The visual effects were just outstanding. It made me feel like I was actually on the ship. While playing the game, I got to talk to several people on the ship. Some were rude while others were quite friendly. Let me tell you this: if you need to go someplace soon (such as school or work), I suggest that you not play this game until you get home. You get so into it, time will really fly by.

Rich and complex, many different possible endings

This is a game you can really immerse (whoops) yourself in. The story, like the Cameron movie, is fictional, set on the factual Titanic. You have the chance to change history, but beware! You may unwittingly make things worse! The two CD set also features a walk-around only scenario. After playing the game awhile, you really get to know your way around the Titanic. Not all of the interior is authentic, (you *couldn't* really climb up the fake stack on the real Titanic!) but it's close enough to make the past live again. Pay attention and take *lots* of notes! No conversation with the many guests on board is pointless.

    Amazing,simply amazing

I bought this game because I have been intriged by the Titanic my whole life.I was very stunned and pleased to see the incredible detail. If you watch james cameron's > movie Titanic you will find your self saying things like "Hey,i remember that" or "I know what's behind that door".The detail is incredible, everytime i play this game i feel like i'm really there and that's very unusual to find anywhere ecspecially in a computer game. The creaters and people who worked on this project should be very proud of themselves.

They created a game that is not only fun but very historicly accurate. This game is a must have for anybody who is facinated by the world of Titanic.

    Wonderful and stimulating

Whatta combination! Not only do you get to step back in time on the world's most famous ocean liner, you get to actually be a part of history in the making! Gives me goose-bumps everytime I reach the end of the game.

Cyberflix did a breathtaking job with the game. A must-have for Titanic buffs. Just don't spend much time trying to look for the Heart of the Ocean. Also, you won't find Jack Dawson, which I know is a disappointment for girls everywhere. But it's still a great game!

One of the best games I've played

This is such a great game. The storyline is rich and complex, and it's really cool to walk around the ship, seeing how the company recreated it. I definitely recommend this game to anyone who loves history or a game with a good plot. The characters are often hilarious, and the acting is good. There's a lot of sub-plots and mysteries you can uncover. I liked being able to play a game of poker whenever I wished with Riviera, even if he did creep me out in "Dust," what with his odd imagery involving maidenhood. I liked playing around with the Morse code, too. You can also fence with a nifty Austrian guy and engage in fisticuffs. I loved the references to actual events, and I learned a few things from the game (I'd never even heard of the Rubaiyat until this game).

    • Trivia
CGI footage of the Titanic created for this videogame has been reused in many documentaries on the sinking.
    • Errores
The game's ship interior was recreated with accuracy and research considered, and they look more authentic than recreations of the ship in previous film incarnations, but there still are many inconsistencies. Most of the first class public rooms are in fact based on those of Titanic's sister ship, Olympic. Several examples listed below.

The Smoking Room on A-deck is based on Olympic's during the 1920's (one can tell because of the floor tiling) except that Olympic's seating upholstery was green, not brown. Titanic's upholstery was red with blue and red floor tiles against mahogany paneling. This room also includes the painting "Approach to the New World" by Norman Wilkinson which was aboard Olympic while Titanic's was a painting of Plymouth Harbor.

The 1st Class Lounge is fairly accurate (both Titanic and Olympic's lounges looked relatively the same), it did not have mustard-colored paneling, in fact the color scheme was apparently green and gold carpeting and upholstery against light oak paneling.

The reception room's windows are incorrect, missing windows and French doors leading to the dining saloon (which wasn't created for the game). Also, the painting of nymphs at the foot of the landing is a painting from the Olympic, that would have been found on one grand staircase landing walls. What should have been used here was a French tapestry.

The 1st class corridors leading to staterooms did not have silk wallpaper and carpeting, or railings. Most of the staterooms are inaccurately depicted in an Old Dutch style, including for Eric Burn's cabin on C-deck using the layout of a B-deck cabin. Also, the real C-73 would have had white painted walls and mahogany wainscots.

The Wireless Room contains a window on the wall above the desk, which was a feature on the Olympic and not Titanic (the placement of the room is also wrong anyway, since it was located in the center of deck-house, not the port side).

The Turkish Bath (the cooling room specifically) is based off of Olympic's. Olympic's was outboard thus allowing daylight into the room. Titanic's on the other hand was inboard thus cutting off access to portholes and any daylight.
