Conspiracy Theorist review ...

Haven't watched the movie yet, but created a login so I can set the record straight.

Abrahamfomann states that the 16th Amendment hasn't been ratified by the states. This is utterly WRONG, FALSE, and a LIE.

On Feb 3, 1913, Delaware, Wyoming, and New Mexico approved the 16th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, ratifying it into law. Other states had ratified it previously, so these three states were all that were required to make it final.

If there is case law where the IRS was asked and could not provide the law creating income taxes, I'd like for him to point it out.

I am so tired -- SO tired -- of nutjobs spouting conspiracy theories and total lies about things that are easy to verify. But of course, where's the fun in being confined to facts and truth?

What the IRS is really about...

The 16th Amendment states, "The Congress shall have the power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived without apportionment among the several states, and without regard to any census of enumeration." The scary, factual information regarding the IRS and its power to forcefully tax U.S. citizens via the 16th Amendment, is wonderfully depicted in this movie. Did you know that filing your tax return waives your 5th amendment rights?

A dramatic story of businessman Dennis Smith (William Harrity), who despite his innocence, is financially ruined by the IRS. For all taxpayers, this movie will give you insight to what U.S. agencies can do to private citizens, even when the government itself is in the wrong.

It is the truth....

Josh Martin doesn't have a clue, so he shouldn't even comment on this movie. But of course, he throws around the usual leftist names for anyone who doesn't goosestep to their Marxist ideologies.

Right-wing militia.....yawn....

There IS prove the Sixteenth Amendment wasn't ratified. There IS proof there is no law that requires a US citizen to pay income taxes. In fact, a recent court case, brought on by an attorney, asked the IRS to provide the law, and they couldn't....in a court of law......

But the "F-Zone" is a primer to Aaron Russo's "From Freedom To Fascism". This documentary is a must see for ALL Americans. Watch how Mr. Russo interviews former IRS commissioner Sheldon Cohen and ask where the law is, and Cohen can't answer. Sheldon then threatens Russo by saying in Yiddish "Nothing can help you".

One of the most vapid movies I've ever seen

The kind of movie only a right-wing militia member could love, "The F-Zone" posits the ridiculous theory that the IRS is illegal and federal income taxes can only be collected in "Federal Zones" like Washington, D.C. The flimsy basis for this is that the constitutional amendment creating the IRS and the federal income tax wasn't ratified by all 50 states. By this logic, of course, the entire Constitution should be thrown out the window. The filmmakers probably knew this and so didn't spend much time in the film actually presenting and discussing their case; instead, they give us lots of footage of federal agents acting under IRS orders beating up old ladies and arresting day-care bus drivers for tax evasion. It then delves into absurd conspiracy theories that would make Oliver Stone crack up. As a political tract, the film carries as much weight as "The Turner Diaries;" as a thriller, it's even less entertaining than dreck like "Shadow Conspiracy," if that's even possible. Avoid at all costs, unless one of your "heroes" just so happens to be named Tim McVeigh.

Pseudo-legal drivel

This poorly constructed joke of a film is a perfect example of a movie that should just be completely avoided altogether. It follows a very biased view and understanding of US income tax and is an almost a complete and utter bore of a movie. By the 15 minute mark I already yawned near 10 times.

Josh pretty much covered the main problems in the movies reasoning and the only group of people who would find this entertaining are those who think the crazed rants of Alex Jones are an excellent source of information and individuals who like to fantasize about being a revolutionary who targets Federal Buildings.

For those who are interested in the REAL truth of the matter, visit this link. It debunks many such dumb claims that this film makes and others like it:

Also, before anyone makes an assumption, like Abraham, I'm not even close to what you would call a Marxist or a lefty. But at least I have the brains to differentiate legitimate criticisms of big government and paranoid conspiracy theories.
