This, for the most part, is not a very good show. Every episode is so formulaic that it gets boring by episode 10:
Step 1) a cyborg is created by DARK and some evil guys laugh.
Step 2) good guys find out about the plan and Kikaider tries and fails to kill the cyborg after appearing on the top of a building and playing a riff on a red guitar.
Step 3) the good guys reconvene and a pinch of character development occurs.
Step 4) Kikaider goes after the cyborg again but Prof. Gill plays his flute and tries to mind control Kikaider, but it eventually fails after his friends get him to snap out of it.
Step 5) Kikaider hits the cyborg with his finisher: "The End!" and the episode ends.
This is uniformly the case for every single episode, until the last 6, when Hakaider is introduced and changed the whole thing in an incredible way. If he weren't in this show and the writing didn't improve after his addition, this would be so much worse. But honestly, as weird as it sounds, the last 6 episodes basically make this show worth it.
