I recall some politician once being advertised as "tan, rested, and ready." Well, Ochô (Reiko Ike) has recovered from her massive wounds sustained in Sex & Fury, and is ready to do battle again.

This time she is involved in the "Crotch-Gouge" murders. Something to do with Chinese drug mules who smuggle the drug up their crotch. Needless to say, the drug gang picked the wrong person to mess with.

Exploring the video nasties of the 70s and the pinky violence of the same period is an adventure in just how wild filmmakers can be. At least the Japanese films are all in glorified color and full of gorgeous beauty. The music is also very upbeat and enjoyable.

There are more breasts than in a chicken processing plant, and the blood flows freely in the final battle. This was not as good as Sex & Fury, but it had a whole lot more skin.

The ravishing Reiko Ike is back, sexy and deadly as ever in this awesomely sleazy sequel to Norifumi Suzuki's "Sex And Fury" (1973). Brought to you by cult-director Teruo Ishii ("Black Cat's Revenge", "The Executioner", "Orgies Of Edo", "Horrors of Malformed Men",...), "Yasagure anego den: sôkatsu rinchi" aka. "Female Yakuza Tale: Inquisition and Torture" of 1973 is yet another great entry to the Japanese 'Pinky Violence' Exploitation sub-genre. The film's great visual style, tons of sleaze and violence, and, above all, genre-goddess Reiko Ike make this a must-see for my fellow Pinky Violence enthusiasts and highly recommended to any fan of cult-cinema.

The sexy and lethal gambling-lady, thief and swords-woman Ochô Inoshika (Reiko Ike) is back, and immediately confronted with lots of new enemies. Among others, she has to struggle with a ring of drug smugglers who smuggle heroin in a very kinky manner... I don't won't give away any more of the story, as I don't wanna spoil any of the fun, but I can assure that my fellow Japanese Exploitation lovers should be more than satisfied. While "Female Yakuza Tale" may not be quite as good story-wise as the foregoing "Sex And Fury", it even surpasses its predecessor in sleaziness. The film is again beautifully shot, with immensely stylish fighting sequences. What makes these (often slow-motion) sword-fights even more memorable is the fact that the ravishing heroine Ochô tends to fight bare-breasted or even completely naked. Also, the ONLY thing that I did not love about "Sex And Fury" namely the romance (Christina Lindberg's voice made me understand why her character in "Thriller, En Grym Film" was mute) is omitted here for good, and even though I might stand alone with this opinion, I liked the fact that Lindberg was not part of this one. There's again a lot of bloodshed, and the sleaze-factor is enormous. I won't go into detail, but Pinky Violence fans will know what to expect, and I assure that their expectations are not going to be disappointed. A great sequel to the brilliant "Sex And Fury", "Female Yakuza Tale" is pure cult-cinema that satisfies in all regards and a must see for every fan of Japanese Exploitation cinema! Highly Recommended!

Reiko Ike returns as skilled gambler & swordswoman Ochô Inoshika in this unrelated sequel to Norifumi Suzuki's Sex and Fury directed by Ero-gro master Teruo Ishii (Joys of Torture series, Blind Woman's Curse).

When she is framed as the "Crotch-Gouge'' killer by three men, Ocho sets out to discover their identities and in turn becomes embroiled in a convoluted plot involving Yakuza-related drug smuggling between Japan and China. She soon learns the men have mistaken her for one of their dope-addicted prostitutes they've been using as drug mules to import the Heroin.

Meanwhile the Ogi Clan are having leadership troubles as their old boss has died and his young daughter is missing. Ocho subsequently finds out the bosses daughter is being held in a mental institution but arrives on the scene too late as the girl has already been electrocuted then strangled to death.

Female Yakuza Tale definitely lacks the surreal and psychedelic visuals of Suzuki's direction in Sex and Fury. Aside from the excellent opening sequence involving a naked Ocho slaughtering multiple opponents in slo-mo with her trusty sword and the films fantastic climax, the blood & action mainly takes a backseat here to be replaced with copious amounts of softcore sex, goofy comedy relief and an often hard to follow plot.

On the plus side though, there's plenty of sleazy sex & rape, a badass Nun / assassin who says a little prayer before she kills, a hilarious bullet-in-the-eye scene, some extremely bizarre mental patients and the spectacular finish in the form of a garishly lit kill-a-thon which reminded me of the Batman TV series from the 60's. Add to that a superb score, brilliant fight choreography and slick cinematography and you have one slightly flawed but still highly enjoyable Pinky Violence flick. 8/10

The beautiful Reiko Ike returns in this low-budget sequel to "Sex and Fury". A non-stop, rather confusing tale of gangs, drug running and revenge, "Female Yakuza Tale: Inquisition and Torture" is a wonderfully visual movie with a great '70s score and an excellent cast.

Despite finding the plot a little too convoluted, I enjoyed watching this movie. The scenes of softcore romps with middle-aged men started to exceed their welcome in no time at all but the film has a decent pace and energy that allows it to overcome its limitations. Reiko Ike is a stunning actress and steals every scene. Her willingness to give 100% to the film soon becomes apparent in the opening credits where she manages to full disrobe in the midst of a sword fight with numerous assailants.

Not the most exciting crime thriller I've seen from Japan, "Female Yakuza Tale" is still an entertaining movie from bonkers director Teruo Ishii.

This "sequel" to "Sex and Fury" is more of a softcore sex romp than the bloody tale of revenge its parent was. Teruo Ishii's direction is a little flat and uneven and it's quite obvious his passion is female flesh, not kinetic action or creating a glorious action/erotic hybrid. Norifumi Suzuki, the director of "Sex and Fury", is a more original, energetic director and brought great artistry and aesthetic brilliance to his work. Ishii's accomplishment is a diverting time filler with too many characters, some intrigue, and mountains of softcore canoodling. The opening fight scene revisits the stylistics of the original film, but quickly dispenses with that style and involves itself in unnecessarily complex plotting. The finale is reasonably bloody, but it never reaches the towering heights of its predecessor because Ishii directs it like he's bored.

Ochô Inoshika (Reiko Ike) is mistakenly kidnapped and tortured by drug traffickers and later accused by the police of of murdering another woman. She is helped by Jyoji and discovers that the criminals use the vaginae of women from a gang of female thieves to smuggle drugs to the Clan Ogi led by the Yakuza Goda (Tatsuo Endô). Further, Goda had killed the former lord and abducted his teenage daughter. Ochô plots a scheme with Jyoji and the female thieves to revenge the torture and abuse of Goda and his men.

"Yasagure anego den: sôkatsu rinchi" is a messy Japanese exploitation, with a confused screenplay and development of characters and probably lost in translation to Portuguese. My vote is three.

DAMN I love this era of Japanese exploit film-making. I just recently really started digging into the 70's pinky and samurai films - but I have to say that I've LOVED every one that I've seen so far. Violent, gory, sleazy, sexy - they just don't make films like these anymore...

Unfortunately, the story behind FEMALE YAKUZA TALE is a little convoluted and can be hard to follow at times. This one has Ocho (female pickpocket and "swords-mistress" extraordinaire of SEX AND FURY fame) trying to bring down a drug cartel that uses dope-addicted women as mules to smuggle drugs in their snatches. There are some rival gangs also involved, and throw in a side-plot of some of the local girls becoming victims of a string of "Crotch-Gouge" crimes (!?!), another female assassin who prays before she kills, and a guy who is part of a local crime family who was in jail but now is out and is looking to take down the new leader...and there ya have it...

Again, the main problem with FTY is that there are too many things going on at once, and too many characters who are introduced and then not explained very well, so that the story can become confusing and hard to keep up with. But, on the good side - there is so much sleazy "fun" going on that it's hard to fault the film for some plot inconsistencies. We are treated to the typical rape, torture, some hilarious dildo play, tons of tits and ass, and a few good fight scenes (including an awesome end battle of the drug dealers versus a gang of ex-mules who are naked and p!ssed!!!). I do think there could have been some more violence also - but I won't really hold that against the film either, as there is just so much fun stuff going on in this one. And in typical fashion for the Japanese exploit-style films of this time-frame - the sets, settings, cinematography, choreography, and acting are all top-notch. An absolute winner and highly recommended for pinky fans. Check out also SEX AND FURY, FEMALE PRISONER 701: SCORPION, LADY SNOWBLOOD, and the BABY CART series. 8.5/10 for FEMALE YAKUZA TALE...

Like the Italians around that same era, the Japanese exploitation cinema industry didn't waste any time, money or effort during the 1970's. "Female Yakuza Tale", the sequel to "Sex and Fury" was released in the very same year as the original. Reiko Ike, the ravishing and slightly exhibitionist lead actress, even appeared in six different films that same year and – according to her filmography - made a total of twenty films in a span of barely eight years (between 1971 and 1979). That's very impressive, to say the least, especially considering the fact these movie don't feel rushed or unfinished at all, like often the case with their European counterparts.

Fortunately enough for us fans, the sequel isn't just a quick and derivative rehash of the original. Like the different entries the righteously acclaimed "Female Prisoner: Scorpion" series, the sequel is a completely new adventure with other themes and – thanks to the change in director from Norifumi Suzuki to Teruo Ishii – there's also another type of stylishness and flamboyance. After extracting vengeance on her father's murderers, and killing a whole bunch of other bastards in the process, you would think our heroine Ochô Inoshika could now finally lead a happy and peaceful life. Think again, because this time around she plots to almost single-handedly bring down a whole network of drugs and prostitution. And these two crimes are really inseparable as the sleazy male gangsters use the prostitutes' gouged vaginae to smuggle the drugs. The modus operandi is integrally and quite graphically illustrated a couple of times and really has to be seen in order to be believed. I swear, only in Japan they can come up with deranged stuff like this and simultaneously find aspiring young actresses to comply. When Ochô is wrongfully mistaken for one of the prostitutes, she's abducted, abused and humiliated. She swears revenge and, with a little help from a mysteriously sexy and praying woman, Ochô gradually mobilizes a whole army (and you make take that literally) of girls to unleash a war.

Although I've yet to check out a lot of acclaimed titles, "Female Yakuza Tale: Inquisition and Torture" is bound to be one of the purest and sub- genre defining Pinky Violence movies out there! It's literally chock- full of gratuitous nudity (during the opening title sequence already), mildly stunning "crotch-gouge" absurdity and sword-wielding splatter. The climax in particular is perplexing, with dozens and dozens of girls stripping off their robes before battling against the other sex. And they're bound to lose, of course, because every single man depicted in this film is perverted, abusive and exaggeratedly chauvinist pig! There's only one "good" male character in the film, and he's a bit of a silly loser who makes jokes like "your pussy is going to catch a cold". I love feminism.

Female Yakuza Tale is my first foray into "Pinky Violence". The closest thing I have ever seen to this wild Japanese take on the sexploitation sub-genre was Lady Snowblood and I can say that in comparison it hardly counts. The tale involves Ocho, a female yakuza member, who is ensnared (or en-"snatched" perhaps) in a plot to smuggle heroin using the wonders of the female anatomy. Then there is this subplot about a guy who was sent to prison and it cost him his right to be boss of the Ogi family. It really doesn't matter so much. Most of the plot is inconsequential and is really a catalyst for more carnal pleasures... Characters have the usual undeveloped back story elements that one expects from a poorly written film that serve only to frustrate the audience. These elements are handled with little care and are jarring, obnoxious and clichéd interruptions. As a young male the only reason to sit through this flick is for the copious amounts of female flesh. One only has to go so far as the opening credits to be rewarded with the nude splendor of the star Reiko Ike. There is plenty more where that came from, rest assured that if you see an attractive woman on screen you will find out what she is hiding behind her clothing. This film makes a rule of this concept, in fact the finale has almost the entire female cast engaged in combat with only their shoes on. Blood, breasts and posterior... Too bad the camera work is static and boring and coupled with the editing makes the combat painfully staged and slow. Basically this is a film to watch if you crave a low brow cinematic fix. You watch FYT for the same reason you watch Cannibal Holocaust or a Troma flick, you crave the assault on good taste and art in favor of having primal desires satiated. While I got a kick out of this it is by no means a good film and a four star rating is all I can bear to give this.

For me, not quite as delirious as 'Sex and Fury', there are less set pieces and this is a little confusing now and again. Even so with the fabulous Reiko Ike to the fore with her penchant for bare breasted swordfights, this remains a must. The opening credit sequence with the parasols is wonderful and I was surprised not to see it reprised during the body of the film. Super camera-work, splendidly colourful sets and costumes plus an incredible amount of female flesh. So many beautiful naked girls, prancing, dancing and bending over to have phials inserted! The final fight is way over the top with naked flesh and rivers of blood, it just seems a shame there were not a couple more such scenes between the glorious opening and the gratuitous finale. Very enjoyable, nevertheless!

I've really been getting into these pinky flicks recently, and The Female Yakuza Tale is another good example of the genre! The film is highly convoluted and features a number of plot elements, all of which are nasty and sleazy. The film does get difficult to keep up with on more than just a couple of occasions, but since most of what's happening is fun to watch, it's usually easier to just go along with it. The film is only short at about eighty five minutes and that's quite surprising - considering how many ideas there are here, I would have expected it to go on for longer. The plot focuses on Ochô Inoshika, a pick-pocketer and master swordswoman who finds herself kidnapped by drug cartels. After being humiliated by them, she vows vengeance. It turns out that this particular gang are using drug addicted girls to smuggle drugs in their vaginas and some of these girls have become victims in a series of murders going under the title of "Crotch-Gouge". Throw in some bloke helping the leading lady and a mysterious female assassin and you've got one confusing movie!

The thing that really makes these films great is undoubtedly the style of them and The Female Yakuza Tale doesn't disappoint in that respect as the entire film is very beautifully shot and director Teruo Ishii manages to create several potent and memorable scenes. The colours are dazzling too, and the fight scenes interesting and well choreographed. I can't say I have great experience with this type of film, but this one is not overly violent by my standards (and probably not by genre standards). There are a few good fight sequences and torture sequences, though nothing overly shocking. There is a real focus on sleaze, however; the way that the drugs gang treats its girls is a particular highlight in this respect. The film has a sort of chaotic feel to it in a way and it often feels like certain things are happening for no apparent reason - a scene towards the end that sees a bunch of girls strip off in unison feels rather random. Overall, however, this is a very well made and interesting film that is well worth seeing for fans of this stuff and I definitely recommend it.

This is considered a sequel to Sex & Fury also released in 1973. Not a continuation of the story. Rather a continuation of the character Ocho Inoshika again played by Reiko Ike.

This movie as a whole is definitely watchable. Unfortunately the script has a number of holes which makes it a little confusing at times. The fight choreography which was excellent in Sex & Fury is disappointing here. There is plenty of nudity just like before if that's what you seek. A decent helping of violence as well. You could compare both Ocho Inoshika films to Lady Snowblood. Have to think Quentin Tarantino has seen these.

Reiko Ike is of course excellent. The rest of the cast ranged from passable to excellent. Change in directors for this film is definitely noticable, giving this film an entirely different feel and atmosphere.

If you're looking for a Yakuza pinky violence story with action, then definitely watch. It's not required to see Sex & Fury first but it is a much better movie.

I can't help but admit that a couple times during the middle of the flick, I'd be questioning myself and the character's motives. But in the back of my head it's quite obvious that the characters are cemented in their goals and pursuits of happiness....vengeance. With my idiocy aside, this flick was a really fun trip into Female Yakuza silliness.

Right from the opening scene you'll know if this type of flick is for you or not. And I have to ask, who on earth wouldn't want to see this flick after the initial opening sequence? It's awesome. Let me give you a hint with written sounds effects. "Jiggle", "Slash", "Jiggle", "Arrgghh!" The flick focuses primarily on investigation and revenge. There are a few main characters to worry about, but all with having original writing and having good actors portraying them, no matter who's on screen, it's never a bore. Especially the women characters who aren't afraid to shed their clothing....which is pretty much every single female in the flick. "Sha-wing!" Female Yakuza Tale Inquisition and Torture is one hell of a title, but it's just, since this is one hell of a movie. It has the sleaze, the violence (not enough unfortunately), the nudity, the story, the characters, basically it has almost everything you're looking for in a Violent Pinky flick. Just remember this, "Your pussy will catch a cold."
