Sealed with a Kiss

This movie deals with the painful subject of domestic violence, but uses Basic Instinct-like settings to do so. It is non-exploitative all right, but doesn't really dwell on the subject, and too many plot points are dispatched in a "It's-in-the-script" manner. Especially Eeeeevil Nick Mancuso is dispatched in a manner that wrecks his pre-supposed intelligence. It's not really bad as far as TV movie goes, but desperately average. You have been warned

The bodies are beautiful but the story is so bad and poorly written that you'll want the two hours of your life back that you wasted watching it! Far too melodramatic to be believable on any level.

In a 5 minute segment I watched 2 incidents of serious drinking, sexual references with one woman, one man shot to death and a woman beaten nearly to death before the movie cut away to our forlorn hero having sex with his girl friend. It's quite a stretch. This cop shoots more people in a couple of days than most cops shoot in a lifetime on the job. It's just sad, trying to be a serious drama with a sex and violence format. It's like they attempted to make a movie and divided it in half with neither half having enough life to carry the movie. It wasn't action packed enough to be an action adventure/thriller and wasn't believable enough to be taken as a drama. Spare yourself this movie and read a book, work-out, call a friend, do something that is worth your time.
