Green Eggs and Hamlet

We watched this in my Senior English class after reading the play and viewing the Mel Gibson version of the movie. Of course our teacher was there to help us out step by step along the way with the book so we would know what was going on, this version made it easy to follow the plot with the funny lines and good character acting. My teacher said it was created by a group of UCLA (I forget which college, Southern California though) for a school project. A great video to watch especially after the long Mel Gibson over-acting marathon. ;-) It follows the text very well and has surprisingly good costumes and settings for being a college student project.

This film was the best adaptation of a Shakespeare play ever made nothing more to say other than that besides it may just be my favourite film of all time and the greatest film ever made. The Godfather, Shawshank Redemption, Citizen Kane, Psycho. They have nothing on this film.

Coming into this movie, I did not know what to expect. Coming out, I am in shock. Never before have I seen a piece of film that portrays love, hate, vengeance, forgiveness, passion, and fury so well. Green Eggs and Hamlet is a pinnacle of our time and should be appreciated as it is one of the greatest pieces of film to grace my eyes. Shakespeare's Hamlet was well written, however, this is truly something else. I would suggest to anyone that cares, to watch this movie and truly appreciate not only the beauty of the film but the unparalleled acting and the humor that is portrayed while still providing a quality film.

"Green Eggs and Hamlet" is like the title suggests--wild, wacky, and fun. The writing and acting are much better than you would expect from a version of Hamlet as Dr. Seuss might have written it. Let's just say you won't believe it till you see it.
