Big and Hairy

This is a movie where you won't recognize any of the actors and the sets and costumes look like they were either home made by the actors or cost $5 at Walmart. But none of that matters. This is a movie where Bigfoot joins a middle school basketball team. That is a movie worth seeing and laughing at.

I really did hate this movie. There just wasn't anything good about it. They've done the non-human playing basketball way too many times (eg. Teen Wolf, Air Bud). As much as I like sasquatch/bigfoots, I just can't like this movie. But I'm sure younger audiences would enjoy it.

Sasquatch playing basketball - what more do you need? I literally fell on the floor laughing at several points. What is scary is that by the end of the movie it was perfectly acceptable that there is a seven foot sasquatch dancing with a 27 year-old (supposedly Middle School) at the Valentines dance. (And some claim that TV and movies aren't hardening our minds to such drival.) It is well worth a $1 rental (or purchase as the case may be). By the way the brief Star Wars clip was blasphemy against all things good about a movie.

While I didn't watch the entire movie, I did watch perhaps one half of it and it was pretty bad. However, I was totally fascinated by Richard Thomas. He plays such a strange offbeat, almost gay, out of control, over the top character. The hair,the clothes, the earring. Probably the best performance in the entire movie. I have seen Richard Thomas on stage and, of course, we all loved him as "John Boy" but this - this is so very out of character and unbelievable that I was compelled to watch and will probably pick up the last half tomorrow. And who were all the other actors - I hadn't heard of any of them nor have I ever seen them again.

This movie is just bad. So much in this movie is just too ridiculous, which to a point, turns it into a movie that is great for friends to get together and just laugh at. Its a cryptid playing basketball for a middle school(?) for gods sake. In all, I don't recommend this movie for its intended enjoyment, I do say its worth a watch at least once to make fun of it.
