A successful but world-weary art dealer finds out that her usual masseur has sent a substitute for her regular weekly massage at her home. They each find out that they are both attracted to, and annoyed by, the other.

Nina, a successful but world-weary art dealer, is surprised to find that her usual masseur, Douglas, has sent a substitute - Fitch - to provide her with her regular weekly massage at her home. Nina and Fitch find that they are both mutually attracted, and annoy one another a great deal. Their differences of temperament and lifestyle create friction, and they find their similarities nearly as grating. Through flashbacks we learn how Nina and Fitch have arrived at this meeting, and see that perhaps they have enough common ground to learn some important lessons from each other.—David E. Eager to get her weekly massage by the hands of her regular masseur at the privacy of her luxurious art-filled house, instead, the affluent art dealer, Nina, is surprised to find out that Fitch, a total stranger, is filling in for him. More and more, as Fitch effortlessly breaks the ice during a professional but sensually charged session, both reminisce about lost loves, with the wise but confrontational healer posing increasingly challenging questions to encourage sceptical Nina to open up.
