Reservoir Dogs and Kill Bill star Michael Madsen sadly died on July 3, 2025, at the age of just 67. While his cause of death was not disclosed at the time, further details about the actor’s passing have now been revealed.
According to a new report via NBC News, Madsen’s doctor has now revealed that “heart failure will be listed as the cause of death” on the actor’s death certificate, " with heart disease and alcoholism named as contributing factors.” The report goes on to state that no autopsy will be carried out “because the cardiologist who was treating Madsen signed the death certificate. The case is considered closed by the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department, with no foul play indicated, and is listed as a death from natural causes.”

Carly and Nina were at it again during the May 19, 2025 episode of General Hospital, but only one person could come out on top.
Cat Fights and Candles
Now that the Corinthos vs. Corinthos custody hearing is set for June 2, tensions are running high between the two parties. While Michael (Chad Duell) is recovering in Germany with not a clue what’s happening back home, Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) is strategizing with Drew (Cameron Mathison) and Ric (Rick Hearst) to take him down while Carly (Laura Wright) gears up to protect her grandchildren.
When Nina (Cynthia Watros) visited Carly to try and work things out, Carly informed her she planned on taking Michael’s place at the hearing and getting some custody of the kids. That didn’t sit well with Nina, who wondered just how long Carly had this plan in motion.

Tom Holland will soon be swinging into the Marvel Cinematic Universe again to do something neither Tobey Maguire nor Andrew Garfield got the chance to do – a fourth Spider-Man film. As we wait to see what the team comes up with this time around, we have to agree that Tom Holland has come a long way in his career. Even though he had dipped his toes into the film industry before, he gained worldwide fame thanks to his appearance as Spider-Man in Captain America: Civil War. It was only onward and upwards from there.

Like the original Avatar: The Last Airbender before it, the anime-style cartoon The Legend of Korra has some truly spectacular episodes in its run. Some episodes of these shows are just setup or borderline filler episode, with "Remembrances" being a clip show episode in The Legend of Korra, but some episodes are first-rate entertainment from beginning to end. Those are the episodes that fans remember the most, packing all kinds of action, plot twists, drama, and comedy into just 20 minutes or so.
The very best The Legend of Korra episodes are strong in each of their scenes, and a few of them are one huge scene focusing on a single conflict, such as endgame boss battles against Avatar Korra's worst enemies. These episodes are the highlight of each season and move the plot forward in explosive ways, which also make them the best episodes for rewatching if fans are feeling nostalgic.

On Sunday we are celebrating the winners of the 76th annual Primetime Emmy Awards, the second time this year after January’s strike-delayed 75th Emmys, but we know the results will be, at least in part, quite different (well maybe not for The Bear). So here is my stab at predicting just who those winners will be.
Outstanding Drama Series
With only The Crown returning from the lineup here just eight months ago, what might have been a fresh, wide open race now seems utterly predictable in terms of a runaway winner. After already setting a record for a single season series with 14 wins at last weekend’s Creative Arts ceremonies, FX’s Shōgun with 25 nominations overall to lead this year’s list of nominees will certainly prevail here, proof that FX’s last minute move from Limited Series to Drama Series will pay off big time.

SkyShowtime has struck its first major content deal, picking up exclusive rights to 21 HBO Max Europe originals.

Following Warner Bros and Discovery’s merger, the window for HBO to benefit from this content has now passed, although the newly-merged Wbd has stressed it remains committed to European content.
SkyShowtime, which launched recently in 12 markets in which Paramount+ and Comcast-owned Peacock aren’t active, has picked up critically-acclaimed shows including Norway’s Beforeigners, Sweden’s Lust and Denmark’s Kamikaze.
Shows that were yet to air include Finland and Sweden’s ID, Czechia and Slovakia’s The Winner and Poland’s Warszawjanka.

Television, film, and video games composer Daniel Licht, best known for his work on Showtime’s “Dexter,” died late Wednesday following a battle with cancer. He was 60. Originally from Detroit, Licht’s first major work was scoring the 1991 horror film “Children of the Night.” His compositions caught the attention of Clive Barker, who tapped Licht to score “Hellraiser: Bloodline.” Licht scored numerous horror films but also forayed into more mainstream fare like the Ben Stiller film “Permanent Midnight,” and indies like “The Winner” and “Cowboy Up.” Licht’s work on “Dexter” was well regarded, and each season’s soundtrack was released for sale.
