Memories of Murder

I always had a HUGE crush on Nancy Allen. For those who remember her naked in Carrie in the opening shower scene, wow! I was a teen then (13-14) and it never skip out of my mind! Anyway, we all know the movie Carrie by heart.

I'm the second user to review this movie. The first one did it in year 2000, i'm doing it on april 17, 2021!

This movie is impossible to find anywhere, won't run on tv again but i found it (i don't know if i'm allowed to tell) but i found it on Rarelust. The ONLY place and it just surfaced recently. A good VHS copy.

Beautiful Nancy Allen is now 39 when she did that movie. Not 25 anymore but...

The movie is long, long and long. And dull. You wait for something to happen and nothing is happening. It is a tv movie, so low budget and low production.

For Nancy Allen die-hard fans like me only!

Nothing new or thrilling to this tale of a woman who receives a terrible shock which throws her out of a 2 year amnesia state. She then witnesses a murder by a woman that she keeps seeing in a bizarre series of bloody flashbacks. She feels alienated from the husband she married during the time of her lost memory, and has trouble convincing the police that her story is more than just mental problems. Not a rotten movie, just droll. 2 stars.

Memories of murder is not masterpiece by any means but I love it as it has a lot of great elements. First it stars the lovely Nancy Allen who does a great job as the lead in this role and Vanity who also does a great job as the villain. The film locations of Seattle and the Puget Sound area in the early 90s are a strong point for this movie as the scenes and visuals are very beautifully done. The writing and acting is also very good as the supporting actors do an excellent job in the roles they play like the daughter, therapist,and even the pet bulldog Winston adds great details to the film. Another great detail was the firearm used by Nancy Allen which was a large caliber Smith and wesson snubnose revolver not usually used by females in alot of movies makes this very unique along with the scenes during the final third of the movies makes it interesting along with a decent car chase scene. The only negative thing I can say about this movie is that it is goofy and ridiculous in a way in which you can't take a movie like this to seriously or else you probably won't like it. I would definitely recommend for fans of Nancy Allen and late 80s early 90s nostalgia.
