This is one of those movies you have to see to belive. The editing sucks, the acting is mediocre at best and the plot is simply unbelievable. But still everything seems to work out and pull together to form one hilarious movie. I recommend this movie to most all my friends (but they seem to know me for my taste in lame movies). However, if you want a short sweet film with a ton of laughs, and some really interesting cameo appearances, Masters of Menace is certainly worth your time.

So many times I missed the beginning of the movie, which is actually the most important part! It gives the basis for the whole cross country adventure of the Masters Of Menace. Regardless, the beer truck scenes are worth watching this movie alone. Poor John Candy, poor brother Gypsy, but hurray for the Beck's Beer truck! Kudos, and enjoy! It's been a while since I've seen this flick, but as stated before, the cameo's are worth it. This movie was a great bridge between the classic 80's comedies, to kinda what became of Hollywood in the 90's. Now if only Chevy Chase could have somehow made a guest appearance. Again, as the other user stated, not the best of any particular realm of acting, but it is indeed worth some great laughs.
"Masters of Menace" is a fraternity movie, only without the college, without the fraternity house, but with motorcycles. David Rasche and his "brothers" wreck havoc on the way to bury one of their own in Las Vegas. The movie is a franticly paced low brow comedy, with plenty of idiotic gags, and some surprising guest appearances by Dan Akroyd, Jim Belushi, John Candy, and George Wendt. Even "Smokey The Bear" gets into the act. If you enjoy stupid comedies like "Idiocracy" or "Strange Wilderness", this is one to check out. If you would not enjoy a movie centered around characters who can barely write their name in the mud with a stick, stay clear of "Masters of Menace". - MERK

I really enjoyed this film. As a former rider with a "club" in the 1970's, I remember those times and people with an insider's view. Contrary to all the Hollywood "biker" movies, this film is a far better representation of the experience of being a club member during that period. The desire to "just have fun", and tweak the insecurities of the "straights" without really hurting anyone, is right on the mark. Also very accurate is the tendency to do things without considering any negative consequences. Hollywood has taken 5% of the "biker" lifestyle, and portrayed it as a continuous confrontational, violent existence. Masters of Menace accurately reveals the other 95%, and the sometimes childish enjoyment of the experience. It brought back lots of good memories!
Best 80s ever look at the cast. Seriously think Police academy.
