Jungledyret

It deals with topics like adapting to new environments, being alone and sticking together to achieve your goals. It is decent stuff to make our main characters likable.

We also get some catchy songs in this feature which are actually both hummable and fitting in their respective scenes. The skateboard song is my favorite song and Wulle Wulle Wap is catchy and describes Hugo and his monkey friends Zik and Zak very well with its silly nature.

It has a couple of scenes that may be a bit frightening to younger viewers, but it is not excessive. Our main antagonist, Isabella, has a breakdown which, in my opinion, is a little disturbing and unnecessary, but adds some nice surreal imagery to address her obsession with Hugo.

Worth your kids' time if you ask me.

The animation is very good, the songs are excellent and the characters are charismatic; pretty good and underrated.

Based on the Danish books, and it's sa shame so few reviews this on IMDB as it has heart, humor, boppy songs and thrills. Now Hugo is the star on 4chan /co.

Animated movie that I remember fondly even if looking at it after so many years does not have the same effect. There is still everything but between the animation that tries to mimic Disney and the songs that weren't the best, there are many things that could be improved. However, it remains a decent movie.

A very nice movie; with good characters, beautiful animation and catchy songs; I highly recommend it if you are an animation lover.
