Chronos 5.0 is proof that decent writing can still be found. While the lack of wild FX will keep away those who need high-dollar eye-candy, the hard SF time travel plot line is refreshingly free of useless 'paradox' type twists so commonly found in bad time travel films. Instead, the film focuses on the odd sort of problems encountered by, and in some cases inadvertently created by, a time traveling private investigator.

The leading man was my favorite actor. If you like science fiction, you will find this a good story. The movie needs to be remade with added special affects. I want to see Chronos 5.1, the next fiction thriller.

An interesting twist on a popular theme, Chronos 5.0 is the story of a private detective who uses the advantages of time- travel to help solve cases. Koli Cutler is charming and charismatic as the PI who finds himself simultaneously solving a case and on trial for a murder he didn't commit. Time-travel paradoxes and some imaginative writing make this an entertaining film that would have had real potential with a bigger budget and better FX.
