I remember watching this film and feeling like it was definitely in the same calibre as say Malcolm, Bliss or Emerald City, three quintessential 80s Australian films.

I only recently found out that this film was loosely modeled on someone I know, who's rampant credit card activity inspired Bennett to make this film.

Its a shame that films like this and Street to Die getting extremely limited air time, even though the latter is in the National Film Archive.

I understand the television stations need to turn a buck but these films depict life in the 1980s, Sydney, where terrible things happen to people like you and me.

He is a computer nerd. The PC program that he has written will make him wealthy beyond his wildest dreams. Maybe. She owns a chicken farm, but the government wants to close it down on a technicality. They form an unlikely alliance and an even more unlikely romance.

Things get worse. His computer is stolen. He traces it to a... well, that would give away too much. But he must recover it, at any cost. And so the adventure begins: where and how to get the money, and all before Microsoft blitzes him?

A delightful meeting of "Risky Business" and "Thirty Something", a happy and charming lightweight comedy. At the same time, a gentle poking of fun at the banking, money lending and credit card business.

The problems of living beyond your needs with credit cards. A few humorous moments and social comments that really don't gel together.
