Melbourne heavy hitters Thornhill are leveling up in a big way. James Carter Cathcart, a voice actor who starred as several popular character in the “Pokemon” franchise, died Tuesday after complications from oral cancer. He was 71.

Cathcart voiced Professor Oak, his grandson Gary Oak, Team Rocket member James and his Pokemon sidekick Meowth for 25 years in the long-running anime.

“Rest in peace dear sweet man. I will miss you,” his “Pokemon” co-star Erica Schroeder, who voiced Nurse Joy, Wobbuffet and more characters, wrote in tribute. “The community will miss you. The world will miss you. One of the most joyful, exuberant, kind-hearted and talented souls no longer walks with us. You’d think after eight seasons of being under the gun during production of “Game of Thrones” that showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss would have found luxurious the extended pandemic writing process for Netflix series “3 Body Problem.” But that’s not how Benioff experienced it.

“It didn’t feel that way,” he said on a Zoom with co-creator Alexander Woo. “We were champing at the bit. We had a year-long negotiation to get the rights but meanwhile the three of us were not only doing zooms, we actually started writing just because we were so antsy to get going. And then we had [the pandemic]: it took a very long time before we finally got on set. Even though we had all that time, we still ended up having to rewrite everything. And go back for reshoots. Like a first season of any show, you’re trying to figure it out.

San Francisco, May 25 (Ians) Web browser company Opera has unveiled a new AI side panel in its browser called “Aria”, which is powered by OpenAI’s ChatGPT.

With Aria, users will get access to generative AI services for free.

“Aria is both a web and a browser expert that allows you to collaborate with AI while looking for information on the web, generating text or code, or getting your product queries answered,” Opera said in a blogpost on Wednesday.

The new feature is currently available for testing.

Moreover, the company said that Aria is based on its “Composer” infrastructure and connects to OpenAI’s Gpt technology and is enhanced by additional capabilities, such as adding live results from the web.

Opera further stated that Aria is a free service with up-to-date information, meaning it’s connected to the internet and not limited to content before 2021 — making it a more advanced offering than standard Gpt-based solutions.

Ian Harding is a dad! The "Pretty Little Liars" star shared an adorable Instagram post of his own hand holding a baby's tiny one along with the caption, "Thank you for the Birthday wishes folks. I'm thankful for many things this past year, but most of all I'm grateful for the best early birthday present a fella could ask for." The post was shared on Sept. 16, Harding's birthday, but it's unclear when exactly his bundle of joy arrived.

Kid Cudi has teamed up with Japanese DJ and streetwear icon Nigo for a new single, “Want It Bad.” The joint track, which comes off Nigo’s forthcoming album I Know Nigo, is Kid Cudi’s first release of 2022.

Universal animation Sing 2 is the latest challenger to the six-week consecutive run atop the UK-Ireland box office chart of Sony behemoth Spider-Man: No Way Home this weekend.
