The film is written and directed by David Engelbach, in his lone directorial effort, and stars Chuck Wagner (The Sisterhood), Laurene Landon (Airplane II), Victoria Barrett (Journey of Faith), and Karen Sheperd (Firestorm).
This is yet another '80s post-apocalyptic flick trying to cash in on the success of Mad Max. The settings, props, and costumes are all pretty fun, and I always appreciate the creative vehicles these films come up with. The women are stunning, and there's even a random Bigfoot running around for good measure. The narration is clunky, but oddly entertaining. Unfortunately, after a solid setup, the climactic battle is a major letdown-awkwardly staged and lacking impact.
In conclusion, America 3000 is a below-average post-apocalyptic entry that might hold some value for fans of '80s grindhouse oddities. I'd give it a 4.5/10.
You'll have to see past the low budget props, I think they borrowed a lot from the set of Planet of the Apes, and maybe 1,000,000 years BC, and some of the computers are very 1980's, but then Star Trek the original series was supposed to be 22nd century, these computers blow those away.
And women in skimpy costumes made from animal skin always make a movie worth watching for guys. The dialog leaves a lot to be desired, but like I said, just put the brain in neutral and be entertained.

Gramma: Once the world was green, and livin'. Then was the great Nuke. Death lived everywhere. All were born sick and unclean. A livin' curse from the Americans and Commies. Then one day, a baby was born. Clean, and clear. And the livin' curse was over. The child grew strong and beautiful, and she was called WOMAN. Woman taught her children to follow the Tiara and obey the regs, and the earth lived again. But some disobeyed the regs, and from them came the children of darkness and disease. PLUGOTS! Plugots to be hunted and nuked, 'till neggy are left.
