The scene in which Cynthia Rothrock rides a car down the street to promote her character's run for sheriff was filmed during an actual parade in Utah. The spectators, organizers, and press were not alerted to this, and the local radio station reported her fictional run for sheriff as fact.
Before committing to the film, Cynthia Rothrock orally agreed to star in a different Golden Harvest production to be shot in Hong Kong. The film was to include a scene that involved her rappelling off the highest building in the city, to be shot without the benefit of a safety net to allow for top-down shots. Rothrock was so apprehensive about this that she gladly accepted the alternative offer for this less stunt-intensive movie.
Cynthia Rothrock and Richard Norton both hated the scene in which China and Matt first meet in the convertible, disliking their performances. During the first screening of the movie, they dreaded seeing the scene in front of an audience, and were relieved when the film tape inexplicably tore and the entire part was skipped.
