I Know How The MCU Can Pull Off The 1 Bucky Barnes Storyline Sebastian Stan Said Was A Missed Opportunity
Image
Sebastian Stan has stated which Winter Soldier story he wishes was depicted in the MCU, and Thunderbolts* could be the ideal place for it. Bucky Barnes, a.k.a. the Winter Soldier, has developed from Captain Americas best friend to a complex anti-hero carrying the heavy weight of his past. Yet, according to Sebastian Stan, the actor who brings Bucky to life, there is one major storyline he believes was a missed opportunity. With Thunderbolts* and its focus on characters with troubled pasts, this may be the perfect chance to explore the depths of Buckys darker history.

Buckys journey in the MCU timeline has been turbulent. First appearing in Captain America: The First Avenger, he was Steve Rogers closest friend, seemingly falling to his death in battle. In Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Bucky re-emerged as the brainwashed assassin controlled by Hydra. He continued to struggle with his painful memories in Captain America: Civil War,...

Captain America: Brave New World Trailer: Harrison Ford Hulks Out In Paranoid MCU Political Thriller
Image
Now that we've reached the end of the Witches' Road with Agatha All Along, all MCU fans' attention is now set to turn towards Julius Onah's star-spangled fourquel Captain America: Brave New World. Having had one curiosity sparking teaser for Anthony Mackie's feature debut as Captain America already, as well as a couple of intriguing tidbits of info about Giancarlo Esposito's baddie Sidewinder and an eyebrow-raising adamantium connection spilled at San Diego Comic Con back in July, the hype train for the 35th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe has really been starting to build up a head of steam. Now, with the release of a brand new trailer at D23 Brazil this past weekend, anticipation for the movie has reached new heights. Check out Harrison Ford (Red) Hulking out and Mackie's Sam Wilson flying into action in the tense new trailer for the film below:

"You asked for me.

Marvel drops Two major trailers (but one was noticeably absent)
Image
2025 is shaping up to be one heck of a year for Marvel Studios. Fresh off a triumphant comeback to its box-office glory days with the release of Deadpool and Wolverine and the return to the WandaVision-levels of hype on the small screen with Disney Plus series Agatha All Along, the Marvel Cinematic Universe looks set to continue entertaining its devoted legion of worldwide fans with some epic movies and TV shows next year, too.

Shortly after releasing a teaser for the Disney Plus installments we can expect next year, the studio made its presence felt on D23 Brazil to showcase some more upcoming titles. That included short appearances from various MCU titles' cast members, as well as two action-packed trailers that spotlight two upcoming projects in particular.

There was another trailer that fans were expecting that unfortunately didn't accompany these two, but there is no denying that the teasers...

Anthony Mackie Monster Movie Debuts Outside Box Office Top 10, Opening Weekend Barely Hitting $1M
Image
The new Anthony Mackie monster movie has debuted outside the Top 10. Mackie is a star who is likely best known for his role as Sam Wilson in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which he first played in 2014's Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Wilson, who is also known as the Falcon, has taken on the mantle of the late Captain America as of the events of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, a Disney+ spinoff show that aired in 2021.

Although the best-known Anthony Mackie movies are likely MCU entries, he has also appeared in a wide variety of other well-known projects. This includes starring as John Doe in Peacock's video game adaptation Twisted Metal, which has been renewed for the upcoming season 2. Additionally, other major movies in which he has appeared include The Hurt Locker, The Adjustment Bureau, The Woman in the Window, What's Your Number?, The Hate U Give, Real Steel,...

Red Hulk breaks out in new Captain America: Brave New World trailer
Image
At the first-ever D23 fan event in Brazil, Marvel Studios unleashed a new trailer for the upcoming film Captain America: Brave New World. The fourth standalone Captain America movie, and the first to see Anthony Mackie's Sam Wilson wield the shield, there's a lot of anticipation leading to the film's release.

Like the Captain America movies before it, Brave New World fully leans into the sub-series spy-thriller antics. In fact, this might be the most espionage thriller feeling we've gotten yet from a Captain America movie.

Following 2021's Disney+ series The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, Sam Wilson has now fully embraced the mantle of Captain America. Heavy is the arm that wields the shield though, as Mackie's Cap finds himself caught in the middle of an international incident.

The trailer leans heavily into the espionage roots of its predecessors. The trailer's split-screen shots and flickering effects feel like...

Anthony Mackie Takes on the Red Hulk in New ‘Captain America: Brave New World’ Trailer
Image
Anthony Mackie, who plays Sam Wilson/Captain America, is taking on Harrison Ford’s Red Hulk in the new trailer for Captain America: Brave New World.

The footage (below) was unveiled at the D23 Brazil fan event on Saturday, with Mackie and Danny Ramirez, who portrays Joaquin Torres/Falcon, presenting the trailer to the audience.

The film, directed by Julius Onah, sees Ford as U.S. President Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross, who wants to bring Captain America aboard in an official military position after being elected president. But before Wilson can make a decision, he works to uncover a nefarious global plot and takes on Ross when he transforms into the Red Hulk.

“Your inner circle’s been compromised. Let me fix it,” Mackie says in the trailer, as Ford replies, “Watch yourself. You’re not Steve Rogers.” Mackie says, “You’re right. I’m not.”

Brave New World also includes Ramirez as the new Falcon,...

Thunderbolts* Team Name and Characters Explained in New Extended Marvel Trailer
Image
Marvel Studios has released a special look at the Thunderbolts* at D23 Brazil. Thunderbolts* will be the final film in Marvel Studios' Phase 5, and it will feature a new team of characters uniting, but unlike the Avengers, these are not traditional "heroes" but assassins, black ops, and killers. Thunderbolts* will unite characters and plot points teased across titles like Black Widow, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Ant-Man and the Wasp, and more. While the first trailer for Thunderbolts* sold the bare hook, Marvel Studios is now trying to get everyone up to speed on the team.

In a special look at Thunderbolts* released during the Marvel Studios segment at D23 Brazil, the three-minute and forty-one-second video opens with an action scene that sees Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) save and then apprehend the team that consists of Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh), Red Guardian (David Harbour), John Walker/US Agent (Wyatt Russell...

Anthony Mackie's New Sci-Fi Movie Beats Captain America 4 To A Surprising First Since 2019
Image
Anthony Mackie's upcoming movie Elevation has beaten his upcoming Marvel movie as his first movie to be released in theaters in five years. A sci-fi thriller, Elevation depicts a single father, Will, in hiding with his son, Hunter, in a post-apocalyptic world where dangerous monsters lurk 8000 feet below. When his son falls dangerously ill, Will must venture down the mountains, accompanied by two women, to seek help. As seen in clips for Elevation, the trio face a battle of life and death as they venture below the elevation level and battle vicious creatures.

The movie was directed by George Nolfi, whose previous works include The Adjustment Bureau and The Banker, and sees Mackie step into a new role after his success as Sam Wilson in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Elevation will appear in theaters on November 8, 2024, and will allow viewers to enter a new apocalyptic world that guarantees plenty of horror and thrills.

The MCUs 2025 Releases Promise To Finally Solve A Marvel Animation Problem After 4 Years
Image
Marvel Studios' 2025 animated projects seem to be on track to fill a big void in the MCU. Following the success of the Infinity Saga, Marvel Studios ventured into long-form storytelling with Disney+ shows such as WandaVision, Loki, and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Phase 4 also featured a single animated MCU animated show Marvel's What If...?, which opened the door for a few other animated releases in Phase 5.

Despite Marvel's lower theatrical output, 2025 is packed with highly-anticipated releases. In late October 2024, Marvel Entertainment released a teaser trailer for the McU's 2025 Disney+ projects, which include live-action series such as Daredevil: Born Again, Wonder Man, and Ironheart, as well as animated shows such as animated shows such as the upcoming What If...? season 3, Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, Eyes of Wakanda, and Marvel Zombies. All these animated projects are unique in their own way, and not only because each of them takes place in a different universe.

Captain America: Brave New World's Crazy Popcorn Bucket Revealed As Rumors Swirl About Next Trailer Release
Image
Captain America: Brave New World is the next Marvel Studios movie heading our way and fans remain optimistic that The Falcon and The Winter Soldier sequel will kick off 2025 in style.

It's no secret Sam Wilson's first solo outing has undergone extensive reshoots, so we're hoping those fixed the movie rather than plastering over issues too glaring to hide.

Now, we have a supposed first look at Captain America: Brave New World's popcorn bucket. As you can see below, it's a diorama of Red Hulk breaking Sam's shield in half. Presumably, the popcorn is somewhere in the back! Will the iconic shield actually be snapped? That remains to be seen, but this is a pretty big spoiler if so.

In related news, scooper Daniel Richtman is reporting that a new trailer for the movie will be released tomorrow at D23 Brazil. We'll bring that to you if and...

What If...? Season 3 Confirmed To Feature The MCU Debut Of A "Well-Known Marvel Character"
Image
Though a release date has yet to be officially announced, the third season of Disney+'s What If...? is expected to premiere on December 22, and we now have some exciting updates courtesy of Marvel Animation's Matt Chauncey, who serves as Head of Story for the third seasons of What If...? and X-Men '97.

Chauncey, who appeared at a panel during LightBox Expo (via LaughingPlace.com), confirmed that season 3 of the animated anthology series will not only introduce another new character created just for the show (following season 2's Kahhori), but will also feature the "long-anticipated" MCU debut of a "well-known Marvel character."

No names were mentioned, but Chauncey did reveal that he "scored a dream casting" for the brand-new character. As for the other mysterious hero or villain, a recent rumor claimed that Storm will be a part of season 3.

Though the fan-favorite mutant has previously made numerous live-action...

Marvel Needs To Fulfil Sebastian Stan's Winter Soldier Dream After The Thunderbolts*
Image
Thunderbolts* may potentially be the end of Bucky Barnes MCU story, but theres still a way for Marvel to fulfill Sebastian Stans Winter Soldier dream. Bucky started off a minor character in 2011s Captain America: The First Avenger, but has since grown into a fan favorite. The Winter Soldier revealed that Bucky actually survived his apparent death and was taken by Hydra, who turned him into the brainwashed Winter Soldier. Since then, Bucky has had a long but rewarding journey of redemption.

The events of Thunderbolts* will show Bucky being the closest thing to an antagonist since The Winter Soldier. Hes always been a morally complicated character, even after his recovery from brainwashing, which is what makes him perfect for the Thunderbolts team. Even though he was considered the antagonist of Captain America 2, its hard to really consider him a villain because of his tragic history and lack of free will.

Ranking the 10 Most Hated MCU Characters
Image
Over the years, the MCU has introduced us to countless characters, including lead heroes, villains, and a myriad of supporting roles. With Marvel Studios creating the largest single-narrative cinematic universe to date, it continues to expand with no signs of stopping.

The MCU is undeniably something special, delivering remarkable characters and unforgettable stories. This article, however, takes a different angle.

Instead of focusing on the fan favorites or the strongest, we’re diving into a list of the 10 most hated MCU characters. Whether major or minor, these characters have sparked dislike among fans, and we’ll explain why each has earned a spot on this list.

10. Gorr

Unlike his comic book version, the MCU’s portrayal of Gorr was widely disliked, even by actor Christian Bale. Marvel took one of its most formidable villains and diminished his impact, both in terms of story and appearance.

In the comics, Gorr was...

Ryan Reynolds’ Biggest Flop Green Lantern Movie Could Have Been Way Worse If WB Had Choosen Jared Leto or Justin Timberlake Instead
Image
Ryan Reynolds sure has changed the superhero genre with Deadpool but his run as Green Lantern will always remain a bit…um, questionable. While there are some DC fans who actually found the movie quite enjoyable, many simply want to cash in a favor over at Hydra to erase the film from their memories. Which end of the spectrum do you fall on?

Regardless, Ryan Reynolds tried his best to work with what he had. However, the film probably would have ended up in more of a mess if another actor had taken the main spot. Did you know that before Ryan Reynolds was finalized for the film, Jared Leto and others were being considered for the role of Hal Jordan? What’s even more surprising is that Justin Timberlake was also one of those names!

DC Still Overshadows the McU's Multiverse Saga's On TV
Image
Marvel and DC have a long-running rivalry that has grown beyond the comics into mediums like film and TV. This rivalry fuels the superhero genre and is a major reason why it has become as successful as it has. In recent years, Marvel Studios birthed the cinematic universe and changed superhero films forever with an interconnected storyline and crossover events. Meanwhile, DC has struggled on the film side with a lack of identity and behind-the-scenes issues that ultimately killed its first cinematic universe, the Dceu.

Marvel and DC have also made a strong imprint in television, a medium that lends itself more to comic book adaptation than film with its structure. Marvel has had plenty of live-action and animated shows before the MCU, but Marvel Studios finally entered the television medium at the start of the Multiverse Saga with WandaVision. The Dceu only ever had one series in Peacemaker, but...

Why Harrison Ford Was Recast As Thunderbolt Ross In The MCU
Image
Harrison Ford will be making his MCU debut in Captain America: Brave New World as Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross, the new President of the United States. After the successful run of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier in 2021, Anthony Mackie was confirmed to be returning to the big screen as Sam Wilson's Captain America. Without any innate superhuman gifts, Phase 5's Captain America: Brave New World was always going to be more of a smaller-scale, espionage-style movie, akin to The Winter Soldier, which necessitated the need for a beloved human villain.

Enter Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross, a minor MCU antagonist - more of a thorn in the side - who first posed a threat to Bruce Banner in The Incredible Hulk, before becoming a government figure and helping to implement the Sokovia Accords in Captain America: Civil War. Ross was previously portrayed by the incomparable William Hurt, who appeared in a...

'Would Have Been Interesting': MCU Actor Sebastian Stan Reveals His Bucky Barnes Regret
Image
Though Sebastian Stan's Bucky Barnes continues to be a prominent feature in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the Thunderbolts* star has one regret regarding his character. Stan wishes the Captain America franchise and wider MCU looked more into Bucky's captivating arc as The Winter Soldier.

Speaking with Josh Horowitz on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Stan stated his wishes that Marvel had further looked into the Winter Soldier's story, especially his time as a Hydra assassin. "The whole Winter Soldier aspect of that character...I almost wish we'd have explored more of that. There's that whole situation where he's having memory lapses and some of his old memories are coming back, and he's short-circuiting. He wasn't as brainwashed to a machine if you look in the comic books," Stan said.

New MCU Logo Featuring Red Hulk & Fantastic Four Sidekick Revealed

MCU fans are getting treated to first looks at Marvel Studios' upcoming projects at New York Comic-Con, and leaks have already sprung out of the major convention. While attending New York Comic-Con, The Direct (via Discussing Film) published a first look at Marvel Studios' new logo that features their upcoming slate of movies, TV shows, and games. Front and center is Harrison Ford's Red Hulk, who makes his highly-anticipated debut in Captain America: Brave New World. Thunderbolts* Star Sebastian Stan Talks Green Lantern Audition, Winter Soldier Regrets, And Possible Dcu Role
Image
Sebastian Stan made his MCU debut in 2011's Captain America: The First Avenger for what proved to be a memorable, but relatively minor, role as Bucky Barnes.

The actor was given far more to do in Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Bucky's story continued in Captain America: Civil War before he was put centre stage in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier.

Despite being part of a story arc that's played out for upwards of a decade, Stan tells Josh Horowitz that he'd have liked to spend more time delving into Bucky's stint as a Hydra assassin.

"The whole Winter Soldier aspect of that character...I almost wish we'd have explored more of that," the actor explained. "There's that whole situation where he's having memory lapses and some of his old memories are coming back and he's short-circuiting. Marvel favorite returning to headline new Disney Plus series
Image
The Disney Plus streaming service has changed how we consume Marvel media. Now, we can binge-watch new adventures from our favorite Marvel Cinematic Universe superheroes on the small screen instead of (or as well as) going to the movie theaters to watch them on the big one. It's true; the MCU has expanded exponentially since it launched the first of those streaming TV shows, adding favorites such as WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki, Hawkeye, Agatha All Along, Moon Knight and more to the franchise.

It has also expanded into animation with projects that run parallel to the MCU ones. Examples of this are What If...?, which is adjacent to the MCU, and X-Men '97, which is a sequel series to the classic '90s animated show X-Men: The Animated Series. That's just a sign of what the streamer can do with classic Marvel characters, producing projects that...

Daniel Brühl Hints at Possible Appearance in ‘Thunderbolts*’ with Mysterious Response
Image
Daniel Brühl, known for his role as Baron Helmut Zemo in Captain America: Civil War, initially portrayed a villain that few fans warmed up to.

Although Brühl’s charismatic performance was effective, Zemo’s malevolence left little room for audience affection. However, his return in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier changed that. While still maintaining his dark traits, Zemo evolved into a scene-stealer beloved by fans, even becoming a meme sensation.

Although Brühl is not officially confirmed for the upcoming Thunderbolts* film, he recently promoted his new series, The Franchise, which humorously critiques the creative process behind the MCU.

During this promotion, he was asked about the possibility of his appearance in Thunderbolts* and his response sparked curiosity.

Daniel Brühl is currently promoting his successful new series, The Franchise, which offers a comedic look at the chaotic world behind the making of a major superhero franchise. In an interview with Yahoo!,...

Thunderbolts*: Daniel Brühl Plays Deliberately Coy When Asked About Possible Baron Zemo Return
Image
While Marvel Studios' Thunderbolts* will assemble a mixture of heroes and villains, the movie isn't exactly following the comic books. In those, Baron Zemo assembles the Masters of Evil to pose as heroes, only for his teammates to eventually decide they really do want to do some good.

As of now, there's nothing to suggest Daniel Brühl will make an appearance as Zemo after last being shown behind bars in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier.

However, given his history with Wakanda and tactical brilliance, it's easy enough to imagine the various ways Valentina Allegra de Fontaine might be in cahoots with the Captain America: Civil War villain (which would make for one heck of a twist in this movie).

Appearing on the red carpet at the London Film Festival, Brühl was asked flat out if he'll make an appearance in Thunderbolts*. To that, he replied, "Next question!" with a laugh.

Major Agatha All Along Reveal Supports Exciting Avengers MCU Rumor
Image
Agatha All Along's fifth episode might have lent some credibility to a recent rumor about the direction of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Episode 5 of Agatha All Along, titled "Darkest Hour / Wake Thy Power," revealed what many fans assumed from the start: Joe Locke's Teen is Billy Kaplan, better known as Wiccan in Marvel Comics and the son of Wanda Maximoff/The Scarlet Witch. Much like Agnes being Agatha Harkness in WandaVision, this was a reveal fans saw coming years in advance, but it was exciting nonetheless.

Wiccan's reveal lines up with rumors that have been circulating online that Agatha All Along would set up an adaptation of Children's Crusade from the comics, and that the upcoming MCU Young Avengers project would pull heavily from that. Alex Perez from The Cosmic Circus and other notable scoopers are backing up this claim (via Comic Book), but at the moment, any rumors...

Every 2025 Marvel Studios And DC Studios Movie Ranked From Least To Most Anticipated
Image
Thanks to last year's Hollywood strikes, 2024 hasn't been the most exciting 365 days for comic book movies. Marvel Studios released an instant classic with Deadpool & Wolverine, only for Warner Bros. to drop a dud with Joker: Folie à Deux.

We still have a couple of Sony titles on the way over the next couple of months but, in the meantime, we're ranking the five Marvel Studios and DC Studios movies on the way in 2025.

Next year will usher in the new Dcu as the MCU starts laying the groundwork for Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars. It promises to be a thrilling year for the genre, but which of these movies are we most excited about?

What Time Agatha All Along Episode 1 Releases On Disney+ & How Many Episodes There Are
Image
The latest MCU show, Agatha All Along, is almost here. Kathryn Hahn originally appeared in WandaVision as the nosy neighbor Agnes, where she was later revealed to be the powerful witch Agatha Harkness, who played a part in the Westview Anomaly. Its unclear whether a solo series was always in the works for the character, but Agathas popularity among fans undoubtedly helped make the WandaVision spinoff a priority. Alongside Hahns return there will be some notable new faces joining the MCU through Agatha All Along's cast, including Joe Locke, Aubrey Plaza, and Patti LuPone as various witches in Agathas coven.

Season 1 of Agatha All Along will pick up where WandaVision left off with Agatha trapped in Westview following her defeat to the Scarlet Witch. After a mysterious teenager helps free her from Wandas spell, Agatha will set out to try and regain her powers. Along with her newly recruited group of witches,...

Despite Marvel's Recent TV Troubles, I'm Convinced The McU's Next Show Can Break The Trend
Image
Marvel has an inconsistent track record with its television shows, but I'm convinced the next MCU series, Agatha All Along, will be a hit. Marvel debuted its first television show, WandaVision, in 2021. The series was a massive hit on Disney+, but Marvel has struggled to have that same consistency since. Loki is regarded as one of Marvel's best shows, but others, like She-Hulk, Moon Knight, and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier received mixed reviews, and many viewers, including myself, would like to forget about Secret Invasion entirely.

The McU's next series, Agatha All Along, is a WandaVision spinoff centered around the villain played by Kathryn Hahn. The series will follow her journey down the Witches' Road with a coven of fellow witches as Agatha tries to regain her powers. While Agatha Harkness was a fan-favorite character, anticipation for her show has been rather low, perhaps due to the low expectations for Marvel's TV shows.

Agatha All Along season 2 looking highly unlikely following new report
Image
Agatha All Along hasn’t even premiered yet on Disney+, but it’s starting to look like the show could very well join a growing list of Marvel series not to return for a second season.

In a new report from The Hollywood Reporter announcing the return of James Spader as Ultron in Marvel’s upcoming Vision series, The Hollywood Reporter described the series as being the “third part of a trilogy” at Marvel which apparently started with WandaVision, will continue next in Agatha All Along, and conclude with the untitled Vision series.

While not stated directly, the indication that Agatha All Along is simply the next chapter in the three-part story Marvel began telling in WandaVision seems to hint that it is unlikely the show will get a second season. What seems more likely is that Agatha All Along will somehow pave the way for the Vision series in...

10 Things Fans Want to See in Thunderbolts*
Image
The Marvel Cinematic Universe has a slate of exciting films in the future. Captain America: Brave New World marks the triumphant return of Sam Wilson as Captain America - something that fans have been waiting on from the moment they finished The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Fantastic Four: First Steps gives another chance to one of the most frequently misrepresented teams in comic book movies altogether.

Thunderbolts* is one of the most mysterious projects on the upcoming slate of Marvel films. Other than the fact it'll follow the titular team of antiheroes as they go on a series of missions for the government, fans know little to nothing about the film. This gives them the chance to speculate about all the things they hope will happen.

While the internet is furiously bashing out opinions on the CGI-look of Harrison Fords Red Hulk, Mackie is citing the veteran actor as one of the reasons why Captain America: Brave New World is a better movie than anything Holland has done - which would seem to include his hugely popular Spider-Man outings.

Mackie became the latest star to appear on The Official Marvel Podcast, and shared his thoughts on what fans can expect from the first family-friendly Marvel Studios release since 2023s Captain Marvel sequel, The Marvels. While discussing the upcoming release, Mackie took a playful shot at Holland while hyping up his first lead appearance with the famous shield. Addressing why fans should be excited for the movie, Mackie said:

Fans are surely missing Chris Evans in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but the legacy must continue with Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson as the new Captain America. Of course, someone has to take his place as Falcon and that job will be assumed by Danny Ramirez’s Joaquín Torres, whom fans have already met in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

It’s already a known fact that Wilson will replace Steve Rogers in the MCU sooner or later, but there were still doubts about Mackie’s performance and ability to live up to the expectation. He has a big shoe to fill in, and we’ll only see how well he fares once the movie comes out.

Who Is Sabra In Captain America: Brave New World - Shira Haas' New Hero Explained
Image
Captain America: Brave New World features Ruth Bat-Seraph, a character based on Marvel's Israeli mutant Sabra, who can transfer her life-force and grant superpowers to others in the comics. In Captain America: Brave New World, Ruth Bat-Seraph is a former Black Widow who works in a high-ranking government role. The McU's Ruth Bat-Seraph is played by Israeli actress Shira Haas, who has appeared in A Tale of Love and Darkness, The Zookeeper's Wife, and Bodies.

One of Captain America: Brave New World's many antagonists is Sabra, a Marvel character with a very peculiar comic book origin. After receiving the Captain America shield from Steve Rogers in Avengers: Endgame and accepting the mantle in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Sam Wilson's MCU story continues in Phase 5 with Captain America: Brave New World. In his first-ever solo movie, the McU's new Captain America will face a similar challenge to...

Captain America: Brave New World Is Undoing Civil War
Image
Sam Wilson's arc in Captain America: Brave New World unravels Captain America: Civil War's impact on his journey as the new Star-Spangled Avenger. In Captain America: Civil War, Steve Rogers refused government oversight something that Ross is trying to re-establish in Captain America: Brave New World. Thaddeus Ross wants Captain America to be an official government role, setting up a tense premise for the film as Sam navigates this pressure. Despite the government's attempts to control Captain America, Sam Wilson proves he's not easily coerced, setting the stage for a dynamic story.

Sam Wilson's arc in Captain America: Brave New World is undoing what was established in Captain America: Civil War. Two years after Anthony Mackie's last outing in the Marvel Cinematic Universe via Disney+'s The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, he is back in the franchise, and this time, on the big screen. Directed by Julius Onah,...

Why Sam Wilson Is Captain America Now In The MCU
Image
Steve Rogers chose Sam Wilson to be his one and only successor in Avengers: Endgame due to Sam's courage and humility. In The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Sam initially doubts his ability, but later embraces the role after seeing what could happen if the Captain America legacy falls into the wrong hands. Sam Wilson didn't get enhanced with the Super Soldier serum, but he received a Wakandan-made Captain America suit from the Dora Milaje.

Sam Wilson is officially the MCUs Captain America in Phase 5s Captain America: Brave New World after taking up the mantle in Phase 4. Within the MCUs chronological timeline, Captain Americas iconography was born with Steve Rogers participation in Project Rebirth in Captain America: The First Avenger and continued all throughout his time with the Avengers in the present day. The Captain America legend could have died with Steve Rogers retirement in Avengers: Endgame, but...

Joaqun Torres was teased to be the McU's new Falcon in Phase 4, and Captain America: Brave New World's trailer has confirmed this. Marvel Studios has made many significant changes to Joaqun Torres for his live-action adaptation in the MCU. Danny Ramirez returning as Joaqun Torres' Falcon could set the character up for a huge future in the MCU, perhaps even as an Avenger.

Danny Ramirez's Joaqun Torres has been confirmed to be the new Falcon in the MCU, taking to the skies for the first time in the trailer for Captain America: Brave New World. The mantle of the Falcon was first introduced to the MCU in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, as Anthony Mackie's Sam Wilson joined Captain America and Black Widow in the battle against Hydra with the help of his high-tech wing-suit. Captain America: Brave New World Trailer: Anthony Mackie And Harrison Ford Face Off In MCU Thriller
Image
It’s been a while since we’ve seen Steve Rogers’ star-spangled vibranium shield in action in the Marvel Cinematic Universe – five years have passed since he handed it over to Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) at the close of Avengers: Endgame, and it was back in 2021 that we saw Sam grapple with what the shield represents in The Falcon And The Winter Soldier. But now, the new Cap is back – and with a new Thaddeus ‘Thunderbolt’ Ross, too, in the form of Harrison Ford – in superhero fourquel Captain America: Brave New World, which sees Sam step into his new role proper. Watch the first trailer below:

We definitely appear to be back in the territory of previous Captain America sequels The Winter Soldier and Civil War, in which the Russo brothers defined a more grounded, political thriller-style approach to the stories of Steve Rogers. Here, we start with Sam coming up against Ford’s Ross,...

‘Captain America: Brave New World’ Teaser: Anthony Mackie Takes Flight As Red Hulk Makes An Appearance
Image
Anthony Mackie takes flight in the first trailer for Marvel Studios’ Captain America: Brave New World, the fourth installment of the Cap’s franchise and the first since Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers bid adieu to the superhero life in 2019’s Avengers: Endgame.

In the new teaser, Mackie’s Sam Wilson, previously known as The Falcon, is recruited by newly elected U.S. President Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross to officially fill the Captain vacancy and become a U.S. agent to boot.

The Captain wastes little time before stopping a would-be assassin at the White House. And then things get busy. The lightning-fast clip ends with a literal roar and a quick look at the new character Red Hulk throwing Captain America’s shield to the ground as if it were a toy. It’s not clear from the trailer, but...

Captain America: Brave New World Trailer Brings Marvel Back to Its Political Thriller Era: Watch
Image
After months of delays and reports of extraordinarily expensive reshoots, we finally have the first trailer for Captain America: Brave New World. Despite the extensive changes made to the film since it was first announced (including its title), it looks like the fourth Cap movie will deliver on the action-packed, Hulk-busting political thrills as promised. Check out the trailer below.

Production on Captain America: Brave New World initially wrapped in June 2023, but as Marvel retooled their more-is-more approach to content, the studio also made the call to rework the movie. Reportedly, an entire subplot involving supervillain team the Serpent Society was removed, while a new antagonist played by Giancarlo Esposito (reportedly the X-Men-adjacent S.H.I.E.L.D. agent G.W. Bridge) was added in over the course of months of reshoots.

Whatever changes were made, the Brave New World trailer makes clear that the Captain America...

MCU Theory Explains The Real Reason One Avenger Hasn't Suited Up Since Endgame
Image
Rhodey, also known as War Machine, has not appeared in his supersuit since Avengers: Endgame, sparking speculation and theories. One theory suggests that Rhodey may be hesitant to wear the War Machine armor due to the lack of someone capable of fixing it after Tony Stark's death. The introduction of Riri Williams/Ironheart in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever could potentially revitalize War Machine's heroics and allow for the continuation of Tony Stark's legacy alongside Rhodey.

One genius MCU theory explains why one character in the franchise has not been seen in their supersuit since Avengers: Endgame. The final film of the Infinity Saga is undoubtedly the biggest in Marvel Studios' run, from the nearly $2.8 billion box office haul to the amount of characters in Avengers: Endgame's final battle. Of those heroes who fought in the Battle of Earth, there are several who have since returned for projects...

MCU’s First Show Secretly Cursed The Franchise By Being Too Good
Image
WandaVision set high expectations for subsequent MCU shows, but none have been able to match its success. The other MCU shows haven't learned from WandaVision's strengths, such as building mystery and cleverly using cameos. Superhero fatigue has made it harder for other shows to beat WandaVision's reputation, but there's still hope for redemption, as seen with shows like Hawkeye and Ms. Marvel.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe continues to struggle with its Disney+ TV shows, and it’s the studio’s fault as it unintentionally cursed the franchise with its first show by being too good. The MCU continues to expand on the big screen, but starting with Phase 4, which also kicked off the Multiverse Saga, the MCU has been branching out to TV as well. Unlike Netflix’s Marvel TV shows and past TV projects, the Disney+ Marvel shows are part of the rest of the MCU, and some of...
