The director Sai Paranjpye and producer Basu Bhattacharya had a very bad falling out after the film. The continuously bashed each other in print. Finally when Sai made her next Chasme Buddor, she had one of the characters in the film verbally thrash Basu Bhattacharya.
The director wrote the script for Sanjeev Kumar and Tanuja. But Sanjeev Kumar had a issue with Basu Bhattaacharya and refused the film.
