Las siete magníficas y audaces mujeres

A reclusive millionaire puts an ad in the paper looking for seven "seductive and audacious women". Lured by the ad a horde of women descend on a golf course estate in rural Spain where they're whittled down to seven by a variety of bizarre contests. This part promises to be a kind of sexy, Spanish version of "It's a Mad, Mad, Mad World", but it winds up being more of an early, fictional version of one those lame-ass reality shows so popular in America and Europe today. Eventually the "siete magnificas" are winnowed out, but even if the millionaire could handle seven women, he definitely can't handle THESE seven women.

This movie is not uproariously funny, nor is it nearly as sexy as it could have been (it's surprisingly light on the nudity). Blanca Estrada was the only name actress in it who was really popular at the time. But it is always nice to see Cristina Galbo (whose character disguises herself as a nun during the first half of the movie), even if she was a little past her glory days when she appeared in stuff like "La Residencia", "What Have You Done to Solange?", and "Let Sleeping Corpses Lie". Lorena Tovar, a perennial piece of tail in a lot of 70's Spanish genre film, is also in this according to the credits but I didn't recognize who she played in the movie.

This a so-so Spanish sex comedy. It's not a total waste of 90 minutes, but I wouldn't go out of your way to see it either.
