Bemusing story with embarrassing moments and fun acting by likable comedians : Esteso and Pajares

This amusing story with disconcerting incidents and funny performances by two attractive comedians : Esteso and Pajares , playing a duo of proud villagers , starting with a prologue of an inveterate confrontation between families . It deals with a sympathetic pair of countrymen at a Castilian little town , Floro López (Fernando Esteso) , from the Bellotos family, and Agapito Rodríguez (Andrés Pajares), from the Mondongos family, both of whom fight over the possession of a well . Then , the couple of rival farmers discover the plan to build a nuclear power plant on their lands, and both will unite forces with the intention of obtaining economic benefits when a powerful Arab sheikh (Antonio Ozores) asks them for help so that such an installation does not occur .

Fernando Esteso and Antonio Ozores are two cool Spanish actors , usually playing a duo of unfortunate , roguish , swindlers as well as bungling people . They usually formed a successful couple in a lot of films and achieved splendor enough in the 80s . And ¨Los Bingueros¨: their biggest hit and ¨Los Energeticos¨were two of their greatest successes . This comedy premiered the same year as "Los Bingueros", another of Mariano Ozores' first hits with the comic couple formed by Fernando Esteso and Andrés Pajares . The film benefits from the duo's chemistry and is not without its diverting moments with room for satire , irony , nudism , humor with tongue-in-cheek , farce and parody , using both verbal and physical humor , the characterizations and mannerisms of the two leads are a important point in the comedy of the popular duo . This amusing plot deals with the charming pair who decide to ally when a multinational wants to install a nuclear power plant on their farms and to avoid it , they join forces undertaking various set-ups and frauds against the powerful company . The plot follows a touristic Mallorca in its last section , almost as a promotional plan for the hotel where they are staying , and while showing up several naked females , ordinary ¨Destape¨actresses , as the following ones : Cristina Lay , the European soft-core symbol Ajita Wilson , and the beautiful co-starring Sara Mora , also shows his splendid body . As the movie mixing nudism with absurd humor , something common in Ozores' films with Esteso and Pajares. The movies they played were funny and with many support's actors . The films were in short budget and lackluster but including comedy and lots of fun , adding at times criticism about political-business corruption , social habits , demagogy with silly phrases and the distancing between the high spheres of power and the citizen of the street . Those contained many nude girls , laughs and slapstick , being mostly directed by Mariano Ozores , a craftsman filmmaker and writer , in fact he wrote the disconcerting screenplay , he recently won a Goya Award (2016) to his long and fruitful career . The latter made with these two famous comedians , -Fernando and Andrés Pajáres- several films , as they had various years partnership between the two leads , such as ¨Agitese Antes Usarla¨ , ¨Al Este Del Oeste¨, ¨Los Liantes¨, ¨Los Energeticos¨, ¨La Lola Lleva Al Huerto¨ , ¨El Currante¨, El Hijo Del Cura¨... This ¨Los Energeticos¨ is a charming as well as embarrassing comedy that contains crazy events , nudism , amusement , entertainment and absurd situations . There are some nice jokes in the film and the cast , playing eccentric characters , make a cosy fit . It is a nutty Spanish comedy that offers no intellectual stimulus whatsoever , though it has some fun and hilarious moments . Humor is sometimes cheesy and gross-out with numerous naughty and picaresque situations such as sex jokes , jealousy , and erotic scenes . The film attempts to give laughs and it works here and there , resulting in an amusing though middling film . My feelings are extremely mixed but I must admit there are some brief and no very enjoyable laughters ; however , it also packs uneven comedy , piggy humor , and some ridiculous moments . ¨Los Enegeticos¨ partially reflects the mood and the reality of Spain in the immediate Post-Franco era , dealing with politic juncture about the post-Franquismo in similar style to other films from this period . It gives an agreeable but ironical Spain and Castilian outlook and describes some ¨Timos¨or ¨Fakes¨ carried out by the peculiar protagonists . Supporting cast is plenty of familiar faces such as : Ricardo Merino, Florinda Chico , Francisco Camoiras , Carmen Martínez Sierra , Ramón Centenero , Tito Garcia and addition , Antonio Ozores who often appears in films directed by his brother Mariano Ozores and Emma, Adriana Ozores from Ozores family as well .

This funny and silly comedy about a duo of sympathetic rogue men , professionally directed by the prolific Mariano Ozores. Made in his usual style and had much success in the Spanish box office . Mariano's family origin is into show business , being son of Mariano Ozores Sr and brother of José Luis Ozores and Antonio Ozores . Furthermore , uncle of Adriana Ozores and Emma Ozores . He has a prolific career , and many actors and technicians worked and ate thanks to the huge success of his films . An entertaining but average Spanish comedy film and with its ups and downs . Rating : 5/10.
