I remember watching Grandpa Goes to Washington and finding the show highly enjoyable. Don't remember too much else about this series except Joe having some fun summoning his office staff with an intercom system.
One of the best shows of the late 1970's. Jack Albertson was a delight, as the caring old man who went to Washington. While it has been over 22 years since I have seen it, I have long wished I could see this show again. Sadly, with a run of only 1 season, it has never made it into syndication.
¿Sabías que…?
- TriviaNBC gave Jack Albertson a contract for thirteen episodes with an option to pick up thirteen more. Even though the rating were high the first two weeks, by the sixth episode it was apparent that the show was losing viewers and after thirteen shows it would be canceled. After the 10 episode, which was the lowest for any NBC sitcom, they canceled the series. Since episode 11 had been filmed they paid Jack Albertson for two shows never completed to fulfill the contract.
