The Angel of Vengeance/The Female Hamlet is not a unique idea as in several books and a couple of other movie productions this theme is used.
I am all for experimenting but this one is a bit too quirky for me. There are too many missing elements. Not sure how it translates into Turkish, but the story should have survived. Unfortunately, for the most part, it reminds me of a spaghetti western.
It is way too noisy and looks like they stole costumes that were thrown away from a Monty Python's Flying Circus skit. But the Monty Python's Hamlet's psychiatrist sketch is much better.
And who wants Hamlet to be on the beach in a bikini?
A hand full of people do not agree with my assessment as this female Hamlet got helpful reviews. It was watched in Moscow International Film Festival 1977, 1978 Los Angeles International Film Festival, and the State of the Republic of Turkey.
