"Lekarstwo na milosc" (The Love Cure) seems to be dated sometimes, but it is the case with most of the comedies from the 1960s. But despite everything, I watched this movie two or three times with pleasure. The plot revolves around a young, attractive woman, Joanna (Kalina Jedrusik), who receives a lot of mistaken phone calls from banknote counterfeiters. The film is a successful combination of a crime thriller with humor. Virtually all characters are nice, even the gangsters-exemplary fathers of families and employees of state institutions until 4 p.m., and only later producers of counterfeit money. The world of "The Love Cure" is friendly and warm; the negative characters-if they exist at all-are funny. And if you add to this the love story and an unexpected ending, the movie should be a good entertainment even today. An additional asset is the participation of the galaxy of Polish screen stars from the 1960s.
