Guru Dutt shoot for this film and after his sudden demise Dharmendra played his role.

All the scenes which were shot when Guru Dutt was alive, those scenes were retained in the second version. But those scenes which Guru Dutt did not participate. Even the Asha Bhonsle song Woh Hanske Mila Humse......was shot by Guru Dutt himself on Mala Sinha and was retained in the Dharmendra's version.

Geeta Dutt used to sing in every production of her husband Guru Dutt. But in this film all the songs were sung by Asha Bhonsle.

This was the final film Guru Dutt was producing.

As huge amount of money had already been invested in this film. For this reason this film had to be completed, there was no way to shelve it.
