In the scene where after the return of Alexis from Spain, his wife sees a trace of injury on the back. The injury is real - Yumatov was wounded during World War II.
In 2010-2011, the film was colored by company "Formula of color." The premiere of the color version was held on the First Channel (ORT) in the Defender of the Fatherland Day in 2011.
At the box office the film grossed about 53.4 million viewers.
Georgiy Yumatov not very fond of the picture. He thought that the picture is doomed to failure, because he thought director Vladimir Rogovoy was inexperienced. His character seemed to him a superficial and narrow-minded as himself Yumatov went through the war and knew what it was.
The initiator of the film was the then Defence Minister of the USSR Andrei Grechko.
