Aldo Ray and L.Q. Jones also appeared in Battle Cry (1955). This was the film where the name of the character "L.Q. Jones" was adopted by Justus E. McQueen making his movie debut. They also appeared together in another war film, The Naked and the Dead (1958).

The final assault on Hill 465 was filmed in iconic Bronson Canyon, south of the Hollywood sign, and west of Griffith park. It's credits are endless, including the original Star Trek.
