Final Sylvester and Speedy Gonzales cartoon to be directed by Friz Freleng in the classic era. However, he went to work on with the last few shorts in the DFE era until 1965 before moving on to United Artists (including the Pink Panther shorts) after the original Warner Bros. Cartoons shut down in 1963.
The robot was reused from the late 1953 Bugs Bunny and Elmer Fudd cartoon, "Robot Rabbit", including some of its gags.
Sylvester has ordered from the WB vendor of choice, Acme.
Speedy breaks the fourth wall several times, in his usual nonchalant fashion.
The background artwork is much more modern and abstract, as befits the space age sixties.
