George Zucco's estate set was reused by the cost-conscious set designers at PRC for Zucco's crypt in La venganza de la tumba (1943).
Clocking in at 77 minutes, it ranks as the longest "B" picture made on Poverty Row in the 1940s.
Producer Sigmund Neufeld and director Sam Newfield were brothers. Sam "Anglicized" the family name and Sigmund didn't.

The film was refused a UK cinema certificate in 1942, but passed uncut several years later.
