Betty Grable is much taken with Arthur Jarrett, the richest man in town. To impress him, she invites him to tea, and her friends agree to play her servants. One of them is a chauffeur, so he borrows his boss' car and house for the charade. Both turn out to be Jarrett's in this amusing Columbia musical short.
It's directed by Archie gottler, a songwriter who directed a few short subjects for Columbia. His his earlier UMPA, the characters speak in rhymes.
1934 was a good year for Betty Grable's career. Not only did she get a number in THE GAY DIVORCEE, singing and dancing "Let's K-nock K-nees" with Edward Everett Horton, but she had definitely risen out of the chorus and bleached her hair. Although Jarrett, a popular radio singer, was credited above her, this is definitely her movie.
