Kinuyo Tanaka and Tokuji Kobayashi are newlyweds. The cannot celebrate their marriage, however, because his old college friends come home to celebrate it and won't leave.

Heinosuke Gosho kicks off his third year of making sound films with a charming domestic comedy with a cast filled with actors that would become famous. Tatsuo Saitô and Takeshi Sakamoto show up, driving the young couple from their apartment, with behavior reminiscent of a charivari. Jôji Ohara's camerawork offers some moving shots, but also deals with the fact that the sound rig makes it difficult to use the swooping crane work that silent movies could offer.
