Giulio Antamoro anchored scenes by creating 'tableaux vivants' of well-known works of art: The Annunciation by Fra Angelico; The Nativity (Adoration of the Shepherds) by Correggio; The Last Supper by Leonardo da Vinci; The Pieta by Michelangelo; The Transfiguration by Raphael.
The film was restored by editor Goffredo Lombardo, the son of Leda Gys (Mary), and was shown at the Venice Film Festival in 2000.
