I was expecting a movie about the supernatural and other dark topics, what I got was a deeper film about love, loneliness, job issues and a lot of other stuff that's being talked about today.
Beyond the strange and almost unrelated title, These Streets We Haunt offers something for everyone. Matt Williams and Lauren Perez are very good in the main roles, while the rest of the cast are mostly caricatures but work well in the lighter moments.
Overall, more movies (especially big budget ones) should try what this film did: get different genres and remix them together to surprise watchers.
These Streets We Haunt succeeds because it keeps the story interesting until the end, even if some scenes aren't very well filmed and acting is hit and miss (the villians, for example, aren't very convincing).

To tell that this was a really promising dissappointer? Thats up to you to decide, on me, that is, but the film starts really 7'ish or 8'ish, but after 6 minutes and especially 53 minutes the downward spiral really sets in from daft to unbelievably daft acting. Lets just cut in and say there are glimmer of hope in between the moments of charade, which means its not only bio-hazard( movie theaters in sweden and denmark is called ''bio'') material. The male lead actor scores highest and best because he knows acting. The caracter mia though seems to have been thrown in there with the chiefs call to say whatever she like and just play the game , a game thats different from the others. But a horrorthriller on realatively high amateur budget, about a mysterious girl with ''hot'' hands, and generally even hotter appearances, comes to this towns street of supernaturals, where the dark shadows rolls on skateboards, and the general naivity among the streets homeowners are strikingly near real life. Being homeless, searching for a room with a bed she strikes a score with a young humble pretty average nice guy. But there are something strange with this girl that makes this cat become curious. Did the curiousity kill the cat?? Have a look yourself, i do not think im far from the right star scoring compared to supergood feature films of the genre. In any case its an optional choose if your bucket list of film becomes empty. The grumpy old man does still have 1500 films on that list, so its not a re-view.
I enjoyed this flick. Great acting. My favorite characters are Blake ... leader of the pack of baddies and the Boss who shirks his firing duties. It was suspenseful
and enjoyable to the end.
Acting was so..so...but cool story. Very entertaining. Definitely could do with a follow up.
..although it drags a bit (so give it a try if you're awake enough)
Spooky story and surprising end, so dont read any spoilers first (non here yet, 3 reviews so far)
I like to watch underdog/independant movies, but am no expert on the procedure/problems new film makers face. I liked this one (and might watch one or 2 of the writers others) but just as a viewer please allow me to say that the story seemed to be too complicated, a bit unnecessarily cruel and gory, longer than necessary (books get ruthlessly straightened if too long, right?), and the pace was a bit too slow (why such slow music, long pauses etc) Somehow/ at some point (not always) I had the impression the (very) good actors were burdened with the text and story they had to plod along with.

¿Sabías que…?
- TriviaThe scenes between Marcus (Matt Williams) and Pedro (Sam Brooks) are largely improvised.
