I won't suggest this movie to all those who have seen "9" and "Shutter Island" , they might feel this movie a bit cliche because the film follows a similar pattern . Apart from that it's all good , especially the sound it has to be experienced in cinema and it's stunning visuals .

All the hype and expectations are in the starting and ending of the movie in the middle slow pace of narration and Loud BGM Fahadh always steals the show sai pallavi managed in a way and kulakarni again done his part great all okay but some questions are unanswered? Worth watch.

Hollywood movie shutter Island in Mallu version with Different and expected climax. But it is a good entertainment movie, not get enough thrilled while watching this movie because we can expect who is who.!!!!

All stars are well acted their roll, especially Prakash Raj, Athul Kulkarni & Fahad too...not much excited with Fahad's acting compare with "Kumbalangi night's Psycho Shummy" ( It was absolutely brilliant ).

But something is missing in this movie.....

I got a very thrilled experience when seeing this Film especially when Fahad roams into the Hospital and when dog chases him. I can't believe that this was an debutant Director Film. Sai Pallavi acting was extraordinary and Fahad thrills with his eyes. Songs were very good especially that melody was amazing. Bgm scores makes us thrilling and engaging us till the final scene. Apart from all these cinematography was excellent and stunning, Scene by scene extraordinary cinematography. Finally this movie was very good and that twist was really good and interesting.

The movie was interesting, Sai Pallavi's role was simply amazing. Overall worth watching.

Good movie good experience good execution super one

Did not like the film, I thought direction by Vivek was poor. I had seen 'Shutter Island' long time ago, the basic plot is same, but the films are not even comparable.

Different concept..good.. All credits are goes to saipallavi and Fahad and Vivek team.. Feeling happy...

This is an inferior haphazard copy of english film "Stonehearst Asylum" starring Kate Beckinsale & Jim Sturgess. I highly recommend any movie lover to watch the english version rather than this boring trash.

It's an amazing film with brilliant direction, acting, casting, thrils. It will take you to the next level. It's milestone of malayalam cinema

Athiran is the newest addition to thrillers list in Mollywood. Athiran keeps us engaged most of the parts. The making of the movie is good but not excellent and not as good as other recent Mollywood thriller 9 (Nine). Fahadh Faasil is good and will not offer a better performance than his recent outings. It is Sai Pallavi who impresses and eve though it is her difficult role yet, she pulls off it fine. The main problems of Athiran is its predictability. The narration makes us clear that the protagonist is something more than what he appears. The songs and background music were good but one romantic song in second half was unwanted and spoils the thrilling mood. Overall, Athiran is a very good attempt by debutant Vivek and is a one time watchable thriller.

I think the director had cut out from s.i but good

The actors especially Sai Pallavi showed great spirit. The movie plot was good yet predictable . It is a fabulous movie to watch .

Athiran's biggest drawback is its predictability of the plot twists. Fahad and sai pallavi don't have any chemistry whether it's romantically or as a doctor-patient. There is no character development or focus on the 5 patients. Acting was not upto the mark. Fahad was not at his best, atul kulkarni and prakash raj were wasted. Their dubbing was also poor. Sai pallavi has nothing to perform and very less to emote. But her flexibility in kalari was good. And why this film was set in 60-70 is I can't understand. There wouldn't be any change in story if it was set in present time. On the whole, athiran is like a book whose cover looks good but has many holes in the pages.

The movie has many good spots the diriction is absolutley super and acting fahad and sai were massive and the suspence is preditable but not much good thriller the climax was the father of varathan on the basis of the flow of the movie this is a horror feel phycoligical thriller ..
