I love the show, love the people , LOVE the restorations.
The 1 thing that i hate, the talk about money and how its tight blah blah blah. Just show more cars less scripted rubbish.

Likable characters and a nice hook for the narrative. Too much time spent empahsising the hook to create suspense and drama and too little time spent on restorations. If you could lessen the narrative and increase the time spent working this could be an excellent series.

Love the chemistry between Mike and Avery. A couple of humble blokes turning their hobby into a business, finally. It feels authentic, humorous and not meant to portray a well oiled machine of a business, this is what gives it its charm. Would love to see more of the guys, all cast are great to watch and they have a great catalogue of cars to restore. For a next series, I'd like to see more intricate detail into the paint works and where they get parts from.

If you're into the more serious car restoration shows then this is not for you.. Yes some of it is obviously scripted but it's just a bit harmless fun..
There's not to much of the restoration shown when rebuilding but I love to see the end product of these old cars bringing them back to their former glory..
Some people are going to like it some are not but I liked it.. I've seen a lot worse crap produced from Netflix..

Mike looks like Dee Snider and Avery looks like Ron Jeremy. Great show. They give you the REAL deal about buying and restoring classic cars. Hey Rawlings you should watch a couple of episodes.

This show is great, they dont just shoot restores in a washed down script, they show you what happens what breaks whats wrong and how interactions actually go. Mike is a heartwarming guy and I love hearing his little truisms. Season 2!!!!

Season 2 has lost me. The volume has been turned up to full and the lack of actual restorations is disappointing. It's basically the lads clowning about for 6 episodes. It's gone from a fun documentary, to an idiotic ear ache. Such a shame. I guess it's been hyped for the US market.
NB. Season 3 seems to have gotten back on track. Way more time spent on restorations. Much more like season 1. Very much enjoyed it (again). Have upped my rating to 7/10.

I have got nothing else to watch as there is no new episodes for tv series that I follow and ended up watching this back to back and finished all the episodes in one sitting. Its nice to get to know the rural area of a small town in Canada where lots of the people there have passion for the classic cars.
Although the storyline is almost the same every episode but the bond between them is delivered pretty good. Overall a nice laid back tv show for everyone to enjoy.

While I've enjoyed the occasional car show over the years, this one has the uncanny capability of making you really root for shop owner Mike and his crew of family and friends. Sure, like all these shows it's cut for drama, but the guy is real and his dream and struggles feel really near, and people feel as real people, not scripted roles.
As a consequence you keep watching and wanting to watch more - not so much for the next car (there's shows where the cars are much more in focus) but just to figure out how things aren ending up with Mike and his business.
Well done!

Rust Valley Restorers is about a business trying to be a business, and not a rusty car hoard or a charity shop. The owner Mike, a dreadlocked white guy, is charismatic, big hearted, and a shrew. His numerous good-willed, but ultimately financially unfeasible decisions cause family tension and an overall pessimism about whether the business will stay afloat. Watching it is a good lesson in business sense. I originally liked watching the series because of Mike's charisma, and the builds, but after a while thought some of his and the shop's aesthetic decisions were either too safe or too avante garde for the clients.
It's fun to watch restorations to take place and to watch real business transactions take place. I recommend this show even though it's not a favorite.

What a cool place. What a cool crew. What cool cars. But how about less talk and more restoration? Avery seems like he knows what he's doing but all he does is act like a buffoon. Somebody gets hurt on every single episode, not a good thing to show if you're a real business... But still I watch. I think the show would be great if they would just show the process of the restoration they don't have to give away their secrets but you know less dropping stuff, getting hurt, all the talk about losing money, and let's see what you're really doing with these awesome cars!

Original, unpredictable, funny. Don't expect too much. They do seem so much more unscripted than most of these sorts of shows. I loved it.

Great show with a real feel good factor that comes from people doing something they love. When your hobbies your Job that's a great place to be and this is a great example of it. I am not really into cars. You don't need to be to love the show but it probably helps.

A good restoration show that tackles some really fun builds. While the show does sometimes venture off topic and goes into the shop owners personal lives, the main focus does stay with the cars.

Old cars worth saving simply because designers back then had big imagination and could freely design a masterpiece not worring about crap like aerodynamic, safety or feul consumption. Personally I don't exchange any of these cars with brand new whatsoever. The soul and passion is not something that you could easily find in modern cars. Guys doing a great job and I love everything and everyone in this Show.

Sorry to see the negative comments, this show is what it is advertised as, not too fancy, and a bit different than the typical Monkey Garage show. I kind of like it but I consider myself a car guy.

Having grown up on the "West Coast Customs" "Monster Garage" and "Orange County Choppers", I hoped this would have the same feel as those shows.
The Father / Son drama is light (more chair throwing would be nice) and of course the token "Waterhead" buffoonery in the garage (Avery) is comforting.
All in all, some more hot chicks are needed in the cast and some more car shows with finished products.
Mike is a decent dude, but fits the psych profile of a typical hoarder... part with stuff and make that dough man!!!
I'll continue to watch this though.
Request: More ladies in the next season please!!😜

Would have been great if you saw more of the actual car restoration and less of the them talking about how little money they have. I mean 90% of the show was them going on about how they need more money.

I'm not a car guy. Fact is, I'm about as far as you can get from car guy. But even though I may not understand about 75% of the jargon they use, this show is still fun to watch. The secret is passion; seeing something through the eyes of someone who loves it makes almost anything engaging. So, even if you aren't into cars I'd recommend giving this a watch, if for nothing else than to watch the transformation of a rusty piece of junk into a piece of living history.

Good show to rival the count and a plethora of USA shoes on T.V.
Watch every chance I get, even a few repeats.
