I sat through the whole film waiting for something to happen...and finally something happened and 10 minutes later the film was over.

LJ's character came across as cringy and painful to watch.

Felt rushed and didn't have the same charm as the first film.

Lara Jean Covey (Lana Condor) is now dating Peter (Noah Centineo). Life is fine until John Ambrose McClaren sends a reply to Lara Jean's love letter. It's a crush from 6th grade. When she volunteers at an old age home for school work, she discovers that John Ambrose has also volunteered. She befriends sassy senior Stormy (Holland Taylor) and struggles with a love triangle.

In a way, this movie upends a basic rom-com premise by creating so many problems with her romance with Peter and injecting the seemingly perfect John Ambrose. It is such an overwhelming imbalance towards John Ambrose that it needs a big trump card to play for Peter. It almost achieves it but I still don't buy their compatibility. Whenever I think that Lara Jean does something stupid, she admits to it. Whenever I think that she makes a wrong choice, she owns up to it. I do like that but it does not excuse it. This is a problematic couple. I don't think that she fits with him but that may be more real in a way. Maybe something will happen in the third movie and I await for it.

This was really cute film and you get what you expect when watching this. Including the first, its some of netflix's best teen films as it doesn't come off too cringy. Everything did come off a bit extra but at the end of the day, it was a really cute film Jordan Fisher was a great addition and the soundtrack fit so well with the story. Nothing amazing overall, but it's definitely worth the watch.

This is a beautiful story that encapsulates what teens feel in a relationship and in friendships! The leads are beautiful and they really have great chemistry together. I like John Ambrose a lot, he has this magnetic quality to him. I feel so happy watching it.

I'm normally not rally into teen/love/drama movies but I actually really likes the first one. Ofc it was predictable and a bit cringe but I mean you know what to expect with this kinda movies.

I liked the first one better than this one but this one was still cute and fun to watch :))
