This could have been so much more.
The whole zombie apocalypse theme has been over used in so many Fims now. This could have taken it to a new place but no.
The acting is mediocre at best which is surprising given the main leads.
The action doesn't really start until your 40 minutes in then your lead to believe it's going to pick up the pace and become an action packed, road rage fuelled thriller/horror, but no! It meanders along and then fizzled out like a car with an empty tank.
If I had paid full price I would have been even more upset but for £1.99 GBP it was a road trip like any other.

What feels like 1 hour in due to the slow movement and horrible directing and acting , and cheesy dialog, I still see opening credits going, I knew this was gonna be bad, waited another agonizing 10 minutes which felt like 14 hours, yes park the car and clean it, I can assume bmw funded this or provided free car, but after that still no driving hmm, boring slow motion shots of him walking down hall for 10 minutes, super closeups I mean wtf is the camera man obsessed with him or just doesn't know how to use the zoom.
fast forwarded it even gets worse, driving scenes are projector types (you know what they used in old movies), daughter cant act.... shut it off
waste of time. avoid.

Dialogue must've been written by a five-year-old... they clearly also made the set and props. It's a disaster. It's boring. It's delivered by robots. Camera is oddly constantly doing closeups of MC's chin, ears, and the wife's spider mascara lashes. There's no reason for the catalyst to the MCs moving.... like the "bad guys" break in to the homemade fort to just let the zombies run amuck, not steal or takeover... just so they can all be ate by said zombies. Nonsense.
Most horrible movie of 2019.
I am sure a lot could have been done with a 1.3million Budget
Sometime you have to endure such a horrible movie just to realize how good other movies are. I'm not sure if to applaud the director for filming this in under 2 weeks and under $1M or to scold him for creating such a stinker of garbage.
This movie is bad start to finish, and I mean BAD. Where to start? camera action- insulting, zombie makeup - horrible, zombie acting and movement - laughable. Action scene - lets say even the guns don't look real. Dialog - cringey at best. Setup and scenery - ridiculous. Mark Dacascos is not a bad actor but with the editing and bad dialogue there is not much you can do.
Adding insult to injury is the horrible story line, it is down-right boring. I had to stop myself many times from giving up watching just based on boredom alone. Oh yes, and if you call a movie "the driver" can you have him drive faster than 40 MPH at some point? That car was so out-of-place it looked like it was picked up for the weekend for some local car dealership, maybe they didn't have insurance on it so they had to drive it slow at all times?
In any event - stay clear of this stinker. My loss is your gain- watch something else. Exact score: 28 / 100
