This movie deserves much higher ratings. It is a story about immigration, poverty, music and family, yet it goes on a different path than expected. The superb acting is completed by great cinematography and realistic story-telling. I would have thought of a different ending, however it was a truly emotional experience.

A beautiful drama about a poor young musician desperately following her dream. This masterpiece with beautifully portrayed emotions definitely doesn't deserve any low ratings. There isn't a much better way to make a social drama. Well done. I'd love to see more movies like this.

The writer has to be congratulated. I just loved this film. I loved all the music, the story, the characters. The story is told so well through all the characters and really great to see Dublin feature in this film. A fantastic collaboration with the Lithuanian people, and to see their culture so close to the Irish. Beautiful scenery and locations, both Dublin city and beaches in Co. Dublin. The struggle is real for people caring for family, whether young or old. However a message from this story, could be, things are not always what we perceive them to be, or turn out as we hope. We could look at things differently and maybe they are infact better than we hoped for or just different than hoped for (not the ending) well done everyone involved.
