We're not even a week out from the finale of The Wheel of Time season 3, and I'm bereft knowing there won't be a new episode this week. The third season of Prime Video's fantasy show upped the ante in every way, and as we await an official renewal announcement from Amazon and Sony, it can be easy to give in to madness like Rand al'Thor channeling too much saidin and search for any way to stay immersed in The Wheel of Time world.
Of course, there will always be those who offer you a way to do so...but I'd be wary of buying in too thoroughly. Like the slippery ways of the Eelfinn, such promises may not be what they seem.

After the epic conclusion to Season 3 of The Wheel of Time, iwot Studios is once again looking to expand the late Robert Jordan's 14-book series to a new medium. Variety exclusively reports that the production company is working on a new open-world Aaa video game through its new in-house iwot Games team led by Warner Bros. Games veteran Craig Alexander. The ambitious project is planned to build on the success of the Prime Video series and give fans a new way to explore the fantasy world from the Two Rivers to the White Tower and the Aiel Waste beyond. Production is planned to span around three years as the game eyes a launch on PC and consoles.
Finer details of the video game have yet to be unveiled, but iwot Studios CEO Rick Selvage promises "a lot of continuity" regarding the company's approach to the new title in comparison...

A video game based on Robert Jordan’s 14-book series “The Wheel of Time” is in the works at iwot Studios’ new games division.
Described as a Aaa open-world role-playing game (RPG), the “Wheel of Time” video game will be developed wholly in house by the team at the newly launched iwot games, which will be led by Warner Bros. Games vet Craig Alexander. The studio projects a three-year development process for the game, which it expects to launch on PC and consoles.
Per iwot, the studio’s new games division “will build on the global success” of Amazon Prime Video’s “The Wheel of Time” TV series adaptation, which is now in its third season, with this new project.
Based out of growing gaming development hub Montreal, the studio will be “spearheading the interactive entertainment pillar of the company’s multi-platform strategy to expand ‘The Wheel of Time’ across film,...

The third season of The Wheel of Time ends tonight! The eighth and final episode will follow up on plot threads from throughout the season, including the bit in the sixth episode where the Forsaken sorcerer Sammael (Cameron Jack) attacked Rand al'Thor (Josha Stradowski) in the Aiel settlement of Cold Rocks Hold. He failed, and we haven't seen him since.
Sammael reappears in a new clip from the finale. Check it out below:

This week, Prime Video released the fourth episode of The Wheel of Time season 3. The epic fantasy show has been on the rise, but I think it's safe to say that this latest episode is one of, if not the best episode in the show's run to date. "The Road to the Spear" adapts a key part of Robert Jordan's iconic book series, where prophesied messiah Rand al'Thor (Josha Stradowski) enters the mystical Aiel city of Rhuidean to undergo a trial of visions which will prove beyond all doubt that he is the chosen one. As part of those trials, Rand relives the experiences of his ancestors to discover the secret history of the Aiel, which is so shocking that Aiel chieftains are forbidden to speak of it to anyone but those who have undergone the same trial.

The third season of The Wheel of Time, an adaptation of Robert Jordan's beloved epic fantasy books, is off and running on Prime Video, and so far, it's crushing it. Hopefully, the season is successful enough that Prime Video renews the show for more seasons, and fans will get to watch the whole story play out.
In the meanwhile, Wheel of Time spinoffs are bubbling in the background. We heard a while back that someone was trying to get a live-action trilogy of prequel movies off the ground; the first movie, The Age of Legends, is set to be directed by Kari Skogland, who previously worked on shows like The Walking Dead and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
These movies will be set thousands of years before the main events of The Wheel of Time TV show. We've seen that series visit the Age of Legends in flashbacks...

The Wheel of Time TV show is facing a challenge of fitting all 13 Forsaken into the story, so the prequel movie Age of Legends provides an opportunity to explore the missing characters. Age of Legends, set in a different time period, can introduce the remaining Forsaken and delve into their role as generals and allies of the Dark One, aligning with the movie's theme of "power and pride." The show can avoid retconning by having five Forsaken die in Age of Legends, maintaining continuity while still giving them a place in the canon. Additionally, the possibility of reincarnation can be used to bring back the Forsaken in future seasons if needed.
Warning: Spoilers for The Wheel of Time season 2

With the understanding that The Wheel of Time is based on a book series that spans a dozen thousand-page-tomes that will take time to cover, there are certain questions posed by the recent season 2 finale that will need to be answered sooner rather than later. After delivering several recognizable character moments from the Robert Jordan novels in a stellar season ender, the bar is now set very high for future touchstone story arcs, and any changes require immediate buy-in from a sometimes fickle fan audience.
In some cases, these unresolved issues involve expectations that readers may have that viewers do not, but the most pressing questions actually come from The Wheel of Time’s own take on character storylines that are either completely new and mysterious or unfinished in some way. Below are only a few of the most crucial details that...

The Horn of Valere is a powerful artifact in The Wheel of Time. Legend has it that whoever blows it will have an army of heroes from ages past fighting alongside them in battle, and it is said that the Dragon Reborn will benefit from its power in the Final Battle against the Dark One. The scene from the season 2 finale in which Mat sounds the call was spectacular to behold on many levels, but how exactly did he acquire the Horn of Valere in the first place?
The answer may at first sound simple: Loial gave it to him to deliver to Rand, right? But where did the ogier get the ornate case containing the artifact? The last we saw it, the darkfriend Padan Fain had delivered it to High Lord Turak to secure the Seanchans’ cooperation with Ishamael, and the...
