U-Turn

U-Turn is a psychological thriller that initially captivates with its intriguing premise and builds suspense effectively. However, the film's potential is somewhat undermined by its uneven pacing and predictable plot twists.

The film revolves around Rachana, an intern journalist who investigates a series of accidents on a flyover. Taking a wrong turn, she finds herself entangled in a mysterious web of events, leading to a shocking accusation. Samantha Akkineni delivers a commendable performance as Rachana, effectively portraying her character's transformation from a curious journalist to a terrified victim.

The first half of the film is undeniably gripping. The suspense is palpable, and the cinematography adds to the eerie atmosphere. The director skillfully builds tension, keeping the audience engaged.

However, the second half loses momentum as the plot becomes increasingly convoluted and predictable. The supernatural elements introduced later in the film feel out of place and don't quite gel with the overall tone.

The film's technical aspects are commendable. The cinematography is well-executed, contributing to the suspenseful atmosphere. The background score is effective in enhancing the emotional impact of certain scenes.

The climax reveals the true culprit behind the accidents: a vengeful spirit seeking retribution for the death of her child due to reckless driving. This supernatural twist, while unexpected, didn't quite land as it felt rushed and underdeveloped.

While U-Turn starts with a promising premise and delivers a few thrilling moments, it ultimately falls short of its potential. The film's uneven pacing and predictable plot twists hinder its impact. Despite the strong performance by Samantha Akkineni, the film's overall execution leaves something to be desired.

Film is good But theme is not upto the mark Still a decent film

The movie starts off slow and accelerates in a great speed and let's us walk out for interval with so many confusions in mind. The second half unveils the suspense in an interesting manner. The movie is full of twists and turns even till the climax, you may guess a very few if you are a frequent thriller watcher. Actors have done their role perfectly, we could feel Aadhi as a familiar character because his character in this movie reminds of his character on Eeram. Samantha Akkineni has done a wonderful job with the character, and has showed so much emotions. Her makeover elevates her character. Cinematography is great through out the movie. No songs in the movie is a great plus because it would have been a speed breaker in the racy ride. Over all this movie is worth watching. Enjoy the magic in theatres.

The story starts just as we expect from an Indian film(of any language ). Rachna and Aditya loves each other. But their story is way better than usual tamil/telugu films. And I actually liked it. Then rachna visits Shankar's flat for an interview. Shankar is found dead the same day and police calls her for enquiry. Then they find something schoking(I won't revealed it). At that point, film was at top, it could have gone anywhere. Sadly after interval, it went only down hill.

It was so interesting plot. But in the end, turns out to be a ghost/spirit story. This is the problem with Indian supernatural thrillers, they can't have a story without spirits in it. Second half was predictable. There's no chills and thrill. Also, the idea to add horror element failed.

If I am to divide the film into two parts, I would call the first half great and second half a below average one.

Based on a simple idea of breaking a small traffic rule. Screenplay, bgm, characters were just fabulous, but still it feels like the story could've been more stronger.
